When I am promoting Cpa offers on youtube, is it advisable to cloak my links. Or it is just ok to keep the long from my cpa, which can be quite long.
Thanks

  • its better of redirecting the affiliate link with a domain or you can use other free services such as bit.ly. It looks spammy with the huge long link.

    • Agreed. Buy a $1 .info domain is so much better then any affiliate link or shortener. Even those look spammy. Then make a bunch of sub domains and redirect to the offer.
      For example www.yourdomain.info/walmart-giftcard
      Sub domains are free.

      If you absolutely don't want to spend the money for a .info try Dot TK - Renaming The Internet free redirect service. Make sure to send enough traffic to keep them from getting disabled though.

      Good luck
  • Does anyone have success with youtube and promoting cpa. If so how long is it before you usually see success. Thanks
  • Never put those ugly links visible to the public since it prevent people from clicking on them. Best solution is buy a cheap domain (.info) and redirect or iframe the affiliate link. I'd go for iframe since it hides the affiliate link!

  • some people are also hesitant on clicking shortened or cloaked links, same case for long links.. experiment a little on what you should use and you might get the "big one"
  • As Omid said , it is better to use your own domain . Make also sure that the domain name is easy to remember . You can use cheap .info domains ( if yo can't afford .com domains).

    • I am going to take the advice of the redirects. I was looking in my you tube account at some older videos and some of the videos in have over 20,000 views. Most are on the first page of Google. I changed all the links and cloaked them. I will give you the results. Thanks
  • Video marketing on YouTube with CPA offers works pretty good, but getting Fiverr gigs done for the creation will make light work of it for you.
  • Most people don't click on affiliate links because they look all funky.

    What I do is create a folder in my ftp. I name it something short like "hi". Then I create a .txt document. I keep the name short with NO spaces. For instance if I was selling a kodak zi8, the document would be named kodakzi8.txt. Then I put the following code in the document:

    <?php

    header('Location: affilatelinkgoeshere');

    ?>

    Save the document then rename the file making it a .php file.

    Change kodakzi8.
    to kodakzi8.

    Once you have renamed the file, upload it to the folder you created in your ftp.

    Your affiliate link will now be http colon //yourwebsite.com/hi/kodakzi8.php (Sorry I can't post links yet)
    This looks much better than an affiliate link and people clickety click it!!!
