Let's say you have $20 to start a test campaign. You go to your social media site and after getting everything set up, you have to decide between CPM or CPC. Which one do you choose and why?

I remember being in that positions once. I was doing a dating offer on POF and the minimum ad spend was $25. I took that and loaded it in my POF and set the daily spend to $25. The next day I made a profit of $10. Most people would say do cpc but I like cpm because if you don't like losing money then you'll make sure your ctr is off the hook.

For Fcaebook, I guess CPC will convert better.. why don't you test $10 with both and then share the results.. it would be awesome!

I'm assuming you're talking about Facebook. CPC converts much better as of July 20, 2011.

Yeah man always start with CPC. Then, determine after you have your CTR, if it makes sense to convert to CPM. If you have a high CTR, then you can get cheaper clicks with CPM. The problem is it comes down to testing... and typically, CPC is the way to test.

CPC is always best. you can try in face book. that is best traffic source.
