Does anybody here create articles that send someone to their site that has cp* on them?

I have several articles that can be used for content. They have passed a copyscape test if that matters. They are in the leadership market. I have yet to see if I want to promote affiliates on this site ( I am thinking no ) or do I want to have pay ads (doesn't seem to be worth it) or should I put some cp* offers that pay something per action, or lead. I have about 35 articles that have been wrote for specific sites. Example Ezinearticles has it's own articles. Hubpages has it's own, squidoo has it's own and various other free traffic type sites. And yes each article has become unique for each place.
Is this good strategy?

Hope I don't sound to green as I am hoping that this thread can also benefit someone else that is looking into the same approach.

Thanks,
Mike G

exactly, articles are for backlinks more then traffic (though you can still get some traffic from them)

So I should use articles solely as a way to gather PR for the website that I am promoting.

As in each article will generate 1 backlink to my site from the site I submit to. and does it not hurt to have like Thousands or maybe millions of links coming from one site to yours. Or is it the fact that you should be rewriting your articles and submitting them to several sites so that you have several sites with thousands or millions of backlinks making you look important.

        Thanks to all

I think that there is value in getting multiple articles to ezinearticles that promote the same site. It gives you a chance to get links that point to multiple pages on your site, optimizing for different keyword phrases.

Of course branching out and getting links from other sources is a must!

So freudianslip you idea is to target multiple pages within your site, thus generating more backlinks to your site just on different pages for differnet keywords. Are these pages each wrote targeting a specific keyword as the articles are, or are the articles wrote sending them to plainly a different page within your site relevant to the article wrote.
I hope this makes sense to everyone and I am looking forward to the input.

That's waaay off base. With the right keyword research articles can be a great source of traffic.

What does PR matter if it's not bringing traffic? It doesn't.

And PR has less to do with SERP rankings then many people realize.

        Hello there

Those clicks I get from ezinearticles, and others every month are NOT traffic......OH?

Those SERP's for my articles on Google page 1....they take visitors to my signup page....guess that is not traffic either.....its not SEO either...they just happen to be on page 1.......hmmmmmmmmm what is it SEO does again?

Getting in the way of traffic is a strategy not an event...

By the way some of those articles were published a year ago or more......guess its not real traffic though......thats ok....I will cash the checks for profits....

Just another way to look at things....my $.02

So I guess what you are saying is traffic is traffic regardless of where it comes from and one should not look at just article marketing as the single source the proverbial do not put all y9ur eggs in one basket saying?

but one question what does this mean "Getting in the way of traffic is a strategy not an event...?"

Article is one of the most natural ways of increasing backlinks to your site. As for traffic, it really depends on which article directory you post your articles. Just some simple calculation, if your article is one of the few top articles in EzineArticles which are receving a few million visitors per month, do you think you will have traffic to your site??

I must say, article marketing is all the above!

Bum Marketers send keyword rich articles, by the hundreds, to ezinearticles.com.

These articles are low comp, moderate to low traffic but make up for that by
              sheer numbers of articles written.

Get #1 in Google on a low comp term that gets 100 visitors per month.

Now do that 10 times for each sub-topic of that kw.
Now watch your affiliate or adsense dollars roll in.

Make a landing site with 6 or 8 articles, adsense displayed
to optimize clicks, and your ready to go!

Have 100 sites up and see how much you are making now!

I don't care about pr, traffic to low comp sites is money in the bank.

                Hi,

I can only think of a few methods that allow one to
make money on the net with little or zero cash outlay.

                They all take Work!

                1. Build websites on hot topics, get traffic to those sites and flip them
(you don't even have to have traffic or sales to make money)

                2. Build a List from free traffic doing web2.0 techniques.

                3. *Bum Marketing. Where areticles average about $20 per
month each and continue to gain traffic as time goes on.

(* Google Travis Sago and Dean Shainin)

                4. *Adsense sites using articles to generate traffic from:

                a. Links in the articles
                b. Articles high in the SERPS
                c. Articles picked up by content users,
who's readers click the embeded links.

                (*Google Tim Gorman)

These all take 30 to 90 days to mature.

Now that is a good start for newbies
                to research and profit from.

Articles are only one piece of the traffic pie. I have articles over 3 years old at EA that still bring me targeted traffic every day. But it's only one source of many that makes up my traffic system that brings in enough targeted traffic to generate consistent sales.
Does anybody here create articles that send someone to their site that has cp* on them?
You could send traffic directly to a CPA offer and sometimes I do depending on the traffic and the offer. But I would rather build a list because it's a no-brainer to have multiple chances of a conversion instead of just one.
I have about 35 articles that have been wrote for specific sites. Example Ezinearticles has it's own articles. Hubpages has it's own, squidoo has it's own and various other free traffic type sites. Is this good strategy?
Yes, it gives you some backlinks and starts the traffic snowball rolling. As far as traffic goes learn everything you can including how to master Adwords. I get tons of 5 cent clicks when some pay 50 cents or even higher for the same keywords. That is cheap advertising and well worth your time and money even if you have to pay someone to show you how it's done.

Please like to know what is copyscape? And how to use it to pass my articles? I decided to write some articles myself and wanted to be sure they're okay before submitting...

Well the way I so do it is quite simple I type the article up and then save it as an html in a test folder. I then go to copyscape type that url in and if there are any matches I re-write the article.

I use to build article for affliate earnings , or to drive new customers to my products.

One thing you need to do really, is build some sort of curiosity throught the article that will drive people to want more information and thus, click on your link in the resource box
