Is the foundation zip and email submits flawed? Shocking Revelation by my affiliate manager.

My affiliate manager at one of the CPA networks told me everything about how zip and email submits actually function.

The very reason why some leads get scrubbed is simply due to the fact that they didn't convert on the backend. Which basically means the company which runs all these zip and email submits is actually running incentivized offers themselves.

So they get traffic from you and force the customer to fill offers...after offers...after offers until he gets frustrated and leaves the page.

So I asked her does the end user actually get a free ipod or anything else actually being offered? She said yes but the user has to fill up certain number of offers and also a purchase might be required which might be lower than the value of ipod.

And she told me that a lot of networks including hers scrub leads if it does not convert on the backend. And the only way for them to convert is for the user to fill up at least one offer. What do you guys have to say for this?

        If you are going to do CPA offers, get used to it as it is a cost of doing business.

        Build it into your business model and account for it.

        Focus your time on sending targeted traffic and conversion.

          Yeah I myself am finding it hard to believe that people would actually sign up for all those offers just to get an iphone or something. Max Bounty just pulled their free iphone offer.

      You think that someone's email address is worth $1 for no reason?

      Fact of the matter is that the people filling in these things are ending up on a list somewhere or other, and they either have to keep giving away little tidbits of demogaphic info or buy into something to make it worthwhile for the people paying you the money for their email address.

      And before you ask something dumb like "Well how come I just can't go ahead and do it myself", the answer is: Scale. They have it, you don't.
      Whether it's worth a dollar or not shouldn't be the point.

      If what the network is telling you all you have to do is get an email/zip submitted, then that should be what triggers the comission. Not, whether or not it converts on the backend. That's BS.

      If you are supposed to be paid on just an email or zip submit, then you should be paid on that submit. If an affiliate is sending traffic that's not converting, then they should keep them from using that offer, but they should still pay what's owed.

      Otherwise, be straight and tell the affiliates what really needs to happen...the person needs to complete an offer for you to get paid.

      I know it's not reality, but that doesn't make it ethical and I don't want to hear all the networks do it, "get used to it". That's like saying all the politicians are lying to us and robbing us blind...you just have bend over and take it.

    That's why I stay away for the most part from email and zip submits, and I don't touch incentivized offers. I go for the higher paying lead generation offers. I can drive targeted traffic to those offers, and get a better bang for my buck. Scrub is just a part of the business, but is a constant headache with those type of offers.
