IM On Tablets

Hello everyone,

I'm just wondering if anyone uses a tablet to do IM? Just curious. I've ordered a new tablet and I was thinking maybe it'll come in handy for more than just email and web browsing.

  • I enjoy my Ipad for checking stats, cruizin forums, emails, ect. However it is still limited in what I can do! But its great when your out and about! Never hurts to ad another gadget to your tools

    Has anyone found a tablet you can use outside in direct sun?
    I have tried a few of the screens they have which are suppose to shade it and they do not work.

    Easy to read a nook or kindle in full sunlight but I have NEVER found a laptop nor now a tablet which you can.

    Anyone who finds one I am happy to PP you $10 to show my gratitude.

    • I know exactly what you mean. It's weird that you have no issues using a laptop or tablet in bright lights indoors, but the minute you get into that sun...all is lost.
  • It all depends on what you want to use it for, I use mine to browse forums or monitor campaigns but not for creating campaigns
  • Tablets imo good for looking up your stats and browsing forums. Now creating campaigns and such stuff should be left to the computer.

    • I don't currently have one as to me they seem to be, for the most part, glorified entertainment devices.

      I wouldn't use them for building campaigns but checking stats could come in handy, although I'd be a little frustrated to check stats and not be able to do anything about them, but that's just the control freak in me.

      However, I do have a friend who does a lot of offline consulting work and uses his iPad as a mobile presentation, to show clients real world data and results.

      They definitely have value in a business context if used the right way.
