Contacting an affiliate manager before applying

What do you think about contacting an affiliate manager through aim before applying into particular cpa network?

Do they mind to talk and give a piece of advice before somebody applies?

I'd say something like this: Hello "name",I am x y and I want to apply for an affiliate.I have no previous experience in cpa marketing.I have no website in English but can make it fast if necessary. In the beginning I will do zip and email submit offers.I will use cpv traffic(contextual)......which is all true

I'm planning to do this for maxbounty wolfstorm and peerfly.

Yes absolutely. I think contacting an affiliate manager before you apply is very important. I do this with most of the networks I have joined and have never had a problem. They will appreciate it if you do. Just be honest with everything you say and you should have no problems.

Contacting the affiliate manager is certainly a good idea. You will be doing business for/with them, so they should happily talk with you - if not you may want to look for a CPA network that has more involved affiliate managers.

Nice, but completely unnecessary and might even backfire. Affiliate managers are very busy people and might not like the idea of putting time into an anonymous affiliate who might or might not sign up to their network, and then might or might not get assigned to them. (Most networks have multiple AMs).

There's no mystery to signing up to a CPA network. Call your AM promptly after you sign up. Be truthful about your experience, even when it's none. Be eager and tell them what you'll do for their network. That's it, plenty sufficient.

If you can't tell them what you'll do for their network, don't bother signing up. Inform yourself first or you'll just be wasting time for both of you.

That depends on AM's personality, some of them are extremely responsive, some of them don't even give a ****.

I only contact an affiliate manager beforehand in case i'm looking for particular offers, higher payout/volume, or negotiation for certain new traffic sources etc. This will show networks what i'm talking about and how i know about my business.

Application in honesty is another story

Personally, I do not mind when publishers message me before hand. However, Its more productive if you send in an application and then contact because its easier to verify your account, and signup information in comparison to trying to remember everything you said and then attribute it to an application.

I have no problem with potential affiliates/publishers contacting me about joining PeerFly before they do. If your questions are about offers I always suggest checking out OfferVault or if you're looking for PeerFly offers specifically, PeerFlyOffers.com, but if you have questions about the application process or what is expected do not be afraid to contact your affiliate manager. It's our job to answer your questions and help you

From Peerfly's reps involvement and behavior on Warriro Forum, I was pretty much hopeful to get into this network. However, I don't have a clue that I have never been able to reach you on skype and my application has also been denied. I have also pinged you on Twitter recently, lets see what is the outcome.

I apologize for not being available on Skype, I have been on vacation for the past few days. I just saw your tweet from about an hour ago. I'll be in touch and we can figure out why your application was denied

Also - Perhaps get a website first, then apply, that will help your chances..

Contacting them before does improve your chances. Just a small warm-up to introduce yourself and get a feel for what they want in their applications
