Don't Forget to Use Offline Advertising to Promote Your CPA Offers

After signing up for a few CPA offers, it's very important to send traffic to them. Most internet marketers focus all of their attention on online traffic methods. It's important that you remember that offline methods of marketing can generate just as much traffic, if not more.
You'll obviously want as much traffic as possible. Therefore, you should be using both online and offline traffic methods, or you'll be leaving money on the table.
Magazines and other publications can provide you with a lot of traffic. If the offer you're promoting is targeted to a specific group of people, then there's likely a magazine or two that caters to that group. Placing an ad that leads them back to your website can be very effective.
You should also consider placing an ad in one of your free local newspapers. Small ad spaces can be quite effective. If you have the budget though, then you may want to use a larger ad. Advertising rates with different papers will vary dramatically. It may be better for you to start out advertising in a smaller newspaper to save money.
Don't forget that you need to pay attention to the section that your ad is placed in. You wouldn't exactly want to place an ad for some type of electronic product in the sports section.
If you have a car, you may even consider using it for advertisement purposes. You can do this by using a full or partial vehicle wrap. This is a considerable and semi-permanent investment, so you'll need to find a CPA offer that you're very serious about promoting.
If you don't want to make such a significant investment, there are other options you can look into. Window stickers can be effective. Another option would be to use a bumper sticker or two. You can even give these bumper stickers to other people in hopes that they put them on their car too.
A relatively unique offline advertising method you could employ is to give away free promotional items that have your website's URL on them. Promo items can be anything like t-shirts, baseball caps, or pens. Pens would be much less expensive, so you'd have no problem giving them away to everyone you came across.
Instead of passing out promotional items, you can also make up some fliers You can leave them on cars or even in suitable businesses if they allow you to. The main drawback of using fliers is that it's much less targeted though
and remember to always get an ok first from your affiliate manager

That's quite the wall of text you've got there.

Offline Marketing is really easy, it's pretty much as simple as it gets. You just need the time to go around marketing whatever it is you're trying to promote. Hire a bunch of 15 year old kids to put fliers around your local mall, and *poof* conversions!

Make sure to contact your AM's first. Many networks classify offline leads as "poor quality"

Offline marketing is a great way to generate traffic in my opinion. Although, one should always do their research before delving into it as not all forms of offline advertising will be beneficial unless you are reaching the exact audience you hope to. Magazines are a great place to start.

I have done some very successful offline CPA...its one of the most overlooked traffic strategies our there.

As paid online traffic continues to get more expensive, many offline traffic strategies are getting cheaper....the trend, I believe, will continue

I love offline marketing, it lends an air of legitimacy and crdibility to your offers.

It feels more real to some people if they have a flyer in their hand promoting an offer as opposed to seeing it online.

Competition and rising costs of promoting via paid methods online continue to make offline marketing an absolute gem, there is really very little competition offline and you only need to put in some good old fashioned physical work and the profits can be extremely rewarding

well, you really got to ask your AM.

Most offers do not allow offline.

And even then for offline i see alot of people having lots of great ideas of offline linking to a cpa offer but most of the time are incent.

some offers dont allow incent too.

and also, i was thinking, most offers are in the US, so if u do offline i makes sense.

but how about people living in other countries.
and most offers are not in ur country or better yet NO offers are in your country.

then you cant do offline. lol

    so many barriers for offline.

People from anywhere in the world can do almost every offline method I have ever done. Obviously stuff like flyer marketing isn't relevant for every country, but most offline advertising can be done from anywhere.

If I am advertising in a newspaper, I can call and set up the ad from my home in NJ or from a cave in Pakistan.

So I would argue that most offline methods can be done by anybody, from anywhere!

        thanks for the thought.

but i still think its hard. at least now i know its possible, but it will be hard.

        1. you do not know the situation locally there.

        2. news paper ads do not have a very nice conversion rate, or lets just say its a bad method for driving traffic, well at least for my local paper.

and for offline im thinking of like banner, you know those banners u see on the streets, or flyers.

but u cant do it if u dont live there.

Yes, newspaper advertising has got less and less popular throughout the years. So I'd say it will be very tough to get a decent ROI vs. the cost of the ad.

However, I'm sure it can still be done. You would have to be running a very "broad" offer that appeals to many, and your ad-copy would have to be STELLAR, in the short amount of words you have to work with.

thats why i rather stick to flyers and all the other creative stuff but most of them will work out only if i live in US.

cos US is the main market.
            lots of different offers.

so whatever u want to do and be creative u need to be in the right place too.

My point is that there are dozens of offline methods, and most can be done from anywhere in the world. You don't need to be located in the place you are advertising offline for MOST methods.

I would argue that newspaper ads can convert well. I have done plenty of newspaper and periodical marketing and it can work. See, for many types and locations of newspaper ads, prices have actually gone down. There was a tremendous shift towards online marketing so competition and thus prices for many offline advertising placements actually went down even more than the readership, so there are plenty of great deals out there.

And again, I can live in a pineapply under the sea and still advertise in a US newspaper or UK newspaper or Peru newspaper.

For things like flyer marketing, then yes, location does matter

I've been specializing in national newspaper advertising for years now and I agree 100%. It's a total buyer's market. We specialize in classified advertising and there are more buy x, get x free offers than we ever had. Will small print classified ads, we stretch our clients further now than ever!

Absolutely. It's amazing how many little pockets of gold there are out there in the offline print world. Maybe not as sexy as online advertising vehicles, but a fat bank account is more sexy than anything!!!

You can also try a kind of direct-response stuff, which means you put your flyers or everything you want in people's mail. I've never done it but as you all know, direct-response brings amazing results!

Offline marketing is so easy anyone can do it in one hour an make $100. I personally think that many of us who ARE been bit by the "bug" had at one time in our wee years, been offline marketers. Think about it. Ive seen girlscouts sell cookies and rake in $1000 in a day and I read about 30 yearolds not being able to earn $5 online. I think I made $700 for a 6th grade JumpRopeFitness "thing." Face to face marketing will always in my head, the easiest.

As far as CPA offline goes, DEFIANTLY CHECK WITH YOUR CPA MG FIRST.

I remember those days, I was more of the candy bar hustler in 6th grade haha but when its flyer marketing i usually ask to see a copy of the flyer before being used to promote the offer!

Offline advertising is awesome. Newspaper ads have kept me in business for the last 2 years. Its been a trial and error adventure for sure but now it is very profitable.

My biggest suggestion is get to know the person you run the ads through. Develop a friendship with them and work to get the price of the ad lower. Get a free month, 2 for 1 etc. Just talk to them. Sooner or later you will get a discount and BLAM, your ad is profitable...very profitable!

I would also suggest staying away from zip submits, email submits or anything else that pays a low return. Stick to the $2.50 and up offers!

There is obviously more to it than that, but its a little bit of a peek inside what has worked excellently for me.

Offline CPA has been HOT for awhile, it is how you use the traffic. I use to to build my SMS and email lists. Use mobile landing pages, QR codes, Short-Codes and etc.

Then promote CPA after you get the leads or advertise for local businesses.

Not only that but building a SMS list around local businesses is huge....You can promote CPA and hit up the restaurants for 20 bucks here and there to just broadcast a message about a Friday special!

I was using the "event ticket" paper as the postcard. Was thicker stock and cheaper and worked great as a postcard!

Yeah, some consider it poor quality traffic, personally I've seen it work pretty well. The right kind of fliers or post cards or business cards promoted around clubs and city hotspots for dating niches can work well.
