Gmail Autoresponder issues?

Okay, I'm sure this is probably a noob question but is anyone having issues with Gmail Autoresponder?

Just this morning, it seems like the autoresponder only worked with 1 out of 20 incoming emails. I was just looking for a bare-bones solution without having to go through hassle of Aweber type of set-up.

Any suggestions to resolve this issue or perhaps recommending another solution?

Sorry I can't help you with Gmail, but I will say that I tried 5 (both free and paid) before I finally went to Aweber. I would have saved myself a lot of headaches if I had just gone there in the first place. Moving is very painful as you lose most of your list when you move. Obviously I was a slow learner

For what I'm speaking of, I'm really not looking for a long term solution yet.

I'm running the auto-responder for some test YouTube -> CPA ads. I just wanted something quick and dirty.

Guess we're back to manual labor!

Chris, thank you for this post. I was debating setting up access to another email processor, that I own rights to use, but which requires much more configuration, etc and I saw this post of yours and thought, I will learn from Chris's comments and go with a tried and true option.

      Thank you!

The best thing to do is have an autoresponder hosted on your own server, these days I am working on a software that can replace aweber if you have hosting, I will keep you posted.

Hey about the youtube advertising.....Your doing that through adwords, or you talking about just getting traffic from your videos? Thanks.
