I made $60 with 300 Facebook fans. Here's how.

Okay.

I've been really interested in Facebook + CPA's lately and I'm going to share something with you that really got my mind rolling on the possibilities.

I have a fan page of 47,000 fans. I make residual income from it all the time but this is more interesting.

I created a new fan page.

The fan page was related to my 47,000 fans (semi) and was controversial to them.

So I simply promoted the "new fan page" to my current fans and got an instant 300 fans to the page.

I then simply linked those news fans to a page on my website (via status update).

Within a very short period of time (less than 24 hours), I made $60 promoting an offer on PeerFly. The offer was related to the controversy, but more related to the original fan page, so it somehow converted much higher than my main fanpage.

Here's the really interesting statistics.

47,000 Fans - I promoted the offer. Received $26

300 Fans - I promoted the offer. Received $60+

How outrageous is that?

So... a tip. If you start creating fan pages, create new ones that are similarly related and try out campaigns. My new page is just around 600 fans now (no money spent on advertising as I used my main page to advertise it) and converts really well on some offers that my older page.

W00t I love statistics.

Quick question... Am O allowed to direct link to MaxBounty or another CPA network directly on my FB Fan Page?

Why would you even take the risk is my question

Linking directly to a CPA offer isn't the best idea. You want to link them to pages, where you can then presell them on the offer. (not incentive)

For example, if I was promoting an offer directed towards health care, maybe I could setup a page dedicated to that (on a website) and then link my fans to that page. Maybe in the middle of the content there would be a link to the CPA offer, saying if they want to test it out or something, click the link.

Even when it comes to things like hubpages, blogger, wordpress.com, or other websites, I personally never link directly to affiliates. I only link those sites to my websites, where I then build targeted traffic to the offers.

Actually, FB will only let us link to a separate page that's not the actual sales page.

Oh, and to the OP, that's amazing. Did you post the two offers at totally different times during the week? That would probably also have an effect due to traffic amounts being high or low on different days and during different times.

VERY interesting! Well, those 300 that jumped onto your new page are obviously some your most active followers from the old page... but that only explains half of it.

I can only speculate that the 'newness' of your new page had people more interested. They wanted to see what was going on with this new kid on the block!

It'll also be interesting to see what happens as you continue to promote to your new page, and if you or anyone else is able to repeat this phenomenon.

        Oddly, they aren't.

The idea here is that I created controversy.

So those that liked to get into controversy ended up joining the fanpage.

        Screw it here's the idea.

        Original Page: [Product name] Fans

New Page: [Product name] vs. [Product name]

So imagine creating an initial page where you get people to become a fan of something like the iphone.

And then later create a controversial page dedicated to iPhone vs. Android.

If they joined in your fanpage through searching the product name on FB, I won't be surprised, but they didn't. Maybe it caused by the gift season? Those high quality fans of course would bring you higher convertion rate.

I'm a little confused as to what you just said in relation to my post, but as for the "gift season" these are CPA offers and it was unrelated to anything dealing with gifts or anything that could be offered as a gift.

Wow, if you have that many fans, you better start pushing hardcore.

Just imagine the possibilities if we figure that each fan is worth an estimated $0.20 (they're usually worth more in my experience because of lifetime value)

That means you have $50,000 worth of fans at your disposal

My other fan page of 47,000+ fans continuously makes money on a regular basis from things like ClickBank, CJ, AdSense, and CPA networks.

Excellent thread, thanks for the info! This is pretty cool and of course has to do with psychology and the state of mind of the fans.
