Facebook ads driving me nuts...help?

Hello everybody,

A few days ago I got my Maxbounty account approved... so first thing I though was lets try Facebook ads and so I created my first campaign for an SMS offer.

The offer is about subscribing to content via SMS to win an iPhone 4. In different occasions I got the ad rejected!

At this point i have modified the ad multiple times to make it better but no luck. The landing page is the same html code that the offer is using but I have uploaded it to my server because at one point it seems that the reviewers were redirected to a different offer because they were not located in spain...

Long story short, the last message from Facebook was :

The content promoted in your ad or Sponsored Story violates Facebook's Advertising Guidelines

which I know is BS because I have followed every step detailed here:

1. Ads and Sponsored Stories for products that require a subscription must make the subscription terms evident to users in the ad or sponsored story copy (e.g. "Subscription required").

Done!

2. The ad or sponsored story text must also describe the service or product in an accurate way. Ads and Sponsored Stories must fully describe business models without concealing specific details of hidden offers.

Done!

3. Ads and Sponsored Stories must target users above the age of 18 when advertising for programs or services that require a subscription.

Done!

4. The landing page of ads and Sponsored Stories must:

4.1. Clearly describe and display your terms and conditions.
This can be a summarized version of your terms and conditions, as long as you communicate the most important information (including how to cancel the service).

Done!

4.2. Include a link to your privacy policy.

Done!

4.3. Display an empty check box that users must check in order to accept the terms and conditions.
You may not display a check box that is checked by default.

There is no checkbox in the offer I'm promoting

4.4. Clearly represent the price of your promoted service, including any details of recurring charges. Even if the price is displayed in the terms and conditions, it should also appear somewhere else on the landing page (for example, beside the box the user needs to check to accept the terms and conditions).

Done!

If someone know how to get an ad accepted on FB for SMS offers such as the one I mentioned, plese let me know, I need some advice on this, its important

What am i doing wrong??

Hey buddy, days are gone where people can get their ads approved on sms type or mobile subscription type offers on facebook. Now facebook cracking down hard when it comes to cpa offers. Pin submit, email submit etc offer are against facebook advertising policy. Some people having hard time to get their dating ads approved now days.

Now what i can suggest. Create a blog style landing page with only content about how people can win ipad first, with out any banners or affiliate links. This will get your ads approved

As soon they approve your ads make changes to your blog. Add Banners and affiliate links etc to get some conversion. I know it's Grey hat but What to do Lol..

    cheers

well to be honest they only check back if they get complaints from the user about your ad.. another thing my friend if you are going to trick them multiple times. i Would open a new facebook account where i can advertise all the ads where i am changing the creatives because i do not want my main account getting Banned.

SMS products are close to impossible to run on Facebook.

First of all, you are REQUIRED to have a checkbox on your offer. Required. Not only by Facebook, but all SMS must have a positive affirmation of some sort to the terms and conditions when the number is entered. This is the carrier rules.

I've honestly found that you can make all the changes that have been requested and facebook will reject ads due to some arbitrary reason. Thus is life on facebook.

As others have said, SMS submit offers are not recommended for FB. Even if you get one through every now and then, it's too much of a pain. Also, you do risk your account. The method above should work, but as has been mentioned, make sure you have another account or something, as you are walking the line. It all depends on your long-term goals.

Personally I wouldn't push that offer on FB, there are a lot of other avenues. And there are other types of offers that will do well relatively safely on Facebook (i.e. a large number of dating offers, gaming/online gaming offers, auto insurance, education, etc).

Don't risk your main account getting closed just over an sms offer. Try going to actual mobile sites to set up your offer. Don't forget that fb isn't the only source of traffic on the internet.

    Hey guys,

just an update, the trick worked fine during 2 days, unfortunately didn't convert at all because like I suspected they double checked... so yeah it was not my main fb account but they took it down :|

lesson learned though it felt like burning 50 dollars

I think it's because of the offer being for mobiles they don't like it at all, so you can learn from my mistake maybe the trick works on other niches.

best of luck to you guys!

Email submits rock on Facebook! Really, next time choose to promote email submit .

      Btw, what you mean about..

" unfortunately didn't convert at all because like I suspected they double checked... so yeah it was not my main fb account but they took it down :|"

Never try to trick facebook, they are really smart and will take down your account always and to re-instate your account will be very very hard.

      Hi Dave,

I saw your response on a post regarding getting FB ads approved and you said your partner tried to get a weight loss ad approved and 90 disapprovals later, NOTHING.

Did he/she ever figure it out?

I have been banging my head against the wall the last week submitting weight loss ads and those jacka**es won't approve - no matter what I do.

I'm so frustrated I could scream. Well, I have screamed.

      Have a great night!

Yeah FB is such a pain to advertise with....I would really like to know those out there that can make it work. I advertised with them a few years back without any success. Then tried to submit ads just last month and was rejected....then banned. I tried to find out what I did to have them ban me and they just replied with the generic message you have in the post. So frustrating though. Try some of the other PPC markets out there that actually like affiliates and don't care about quality score.

Try a different niche/offer It's not even worth trying SMS/cell phone offers on Facebook anymore in my opinion.. as you have experienced it's nearly impossible to get an ad approved without breaking their TOS and being sneaky.. but if you're doing that then your obviously risking your account which just isn't worth it.. maybe try gaming or a niche like that

weight loss, biz opps, email submits, sms submits and that type of offers just won't get through. even a lot of normal dating offers don't come through anymore.

Well I have another question I do not have any problem to run ads on FB almost for free (with little trick it's costing me free)

about weight loss related or any kind of stuff (african mango, perfume, replica stuff some other kind of products)

But most of them doesn't bring any profit, and i do not know what to promote or sell.

Do you have any advise about what to sell or promote on FB ?

weight loss on FB = NO WAY

they basically removed all the weight loss offers on there... we had 2 accounts get shut down.

they are and have been cleaning house because of their IPO.... want to have big brands on there....

but that said, i see MMO stuff on there ALL the F**king time!

how does that junk get on there and no dating, no weight loss does i have no idea.
