Facebook is bad guy

I dont understand whey they disapproved me and approved for someone. Its really weird

Facebook is inconsistent with their ad approvals. I have ads that were denied the first time and then I resubmitted them UNCHANGED and got them approved. It's the luck of the draw and which person you get to approve your ads. /shrug

Ugh yeah FB is such a pain to advertise with. I made a thread on this topic too and am so frustrated with them and was banned ...and I still don't know why they banned me....

Might be time to advertise else where....eh? 7 search is a good 2nd tier advertiser.

At the end of the day Facebook is still a massive source of potentially highly targeted traffic. That in and of itself is reason enough to at least consider it (in my opinion).

This particular ad may have been submitted some time ago and has either not been re-reviewed or reported. There's a reason why the majority of advertisers on the platform picture a giggling, goofball with an IQ of 70 pressing a big red button repeatedly when imagining FB ad approvers.

Now anyone who has ever advertised on Facebook has at least one ad disapproval frustration story. Odds are you have many more than that. Unfortunately it's just part of the game at this point.

Any big traffic source that becomes highly utilized by creative individuals will eventually become stricter and stricter. This has happened with all the big PPC engines. Look 2 years ago and the majority of the hate threads were for Adwords.

The point is, yes it can be frustrating, but there is a ton of money to be made by advertising on Facebook (and Adwords for that matter) and I just don't want to discourage people right out of the gate.

That being said, you will run into inconsistencies in ad approvals, but once you have a better idea of what works and what doesn't, and you have a good history, you'll have much more approvals than disapprovals.

For the record, I tried to submit a handful of ads just like that (with arrows) about a week ago to test, and they were rejected almost instantly telling me the image violated guidelines.

Those arrows you used are a dead-giveaway for violating TOS and possibly being banned.

If someone got an ad passed that way then they beat the other 99% of interns. It's not worth it to do things like that, so it's better just to not take the risk.

I think you're kind of blowing this out of proportion and taking it too personally. They have different reviewers and let's face it, we are all human. No point in getting upset about it. Just try different ads, or you could even try to resubmit the same one, they might eventually approve it.

Yeah we shouldn't report those kind of ads, we should just consider ourselfs as unlucky.
That advertiser could be banned if we report but the mistake is not on advertiser side, the main culprit now is the person who reviewed and approved this ad.

I mentioned that mistake is on reviewers side because he/she has approved an ad which violates their guidelines.
But reviewer is very generous person. :p

You can always try uploading the same ad under a different campaign and have it approved, but you have to be pretty lucky to do that.

Furthermore, FB favors big companies that advertise with them. I've seen an ad from Panasonic that has every word spelled wrong (purposely).

If any of us try doing that, we'll have handprints across our faces.

When you have thousands of ads to manage you can accepte some of them and refuse others even if they are the same ...

Just create the same ad again and some one else miht approve it..
all those ads are checked by some moderators and if u ve been rejected, just change a few text here and there and you are good to go..

A lot of info here, and clearly everyone has their own opinions. I will say again, lot's of potential on Facebook. Do what you want about the ad you saw, I'd personally not report it (karma and all), and it's not affecting me.

But to say that Facebook is pointless is kind of funny really. It's not super-easy, throw up a pic of a hot girl and collect $400/day like some people did 2+ years ago. But if you approach it with the right long-term mentality, there is a LOT of potential.

Regarding resubmitting ads until they are approved, I would REALLY think twice about this. If it's one or two ads, you can try doing this after a batch eventually is approved, but continuing to submit rejected ads over and over is a recipe for more rejections and possible banning.

YOu(read facebook) Should Reduce no of ads in a page.

It all depends on the person approving your ad. If they see fit that the ad doesn't go against the TOS in their opinion then they will approve it whereas others may not.

I think it just depends who at Facebook is reviewing the ad. Sometimes I see ads that are in clear violation of rules and sometimes I have ads shot down that I can't figure out one rule they've gone against. The inconsistent ad approval/denials are just part of the Facebook ad landscape. You learn to get used to it after awhile. Sometimes you don't even have to change the ad just resubmit it and bam it passes. You just have to hope you're getting someone on a Friday waiting to leave work approving everything.
