Has anyone earned 20USD a click?

I have been a internet marketer since a while. I read about many adsense success stories, but in a practical situation I got it hard to make a decent amount from google adsense having putting a lot of time into it.

I tried to generate adsense revenue through some low competitive niche and got a few success as well. But the ultimate question is, what actually happens to the high competitive niches? Does people actually get over $10 or $20 USD per click? Have anyone of you earned that much per click? Would you care to share some of this millionaires secret?

It's been years since I've seen any clicks in my Adsense account over $5. I used to see $16-20 clicks and even had a $49 click. Back in the day.

Don't you think the amount google pay for a click is quite unfair comparing to the bids they receive from adword advertisers?

Its Not possible for you always get 20$ per click. One of my friend told me that he got 12$ per click thats the highest i heard.
This may be due to advertisers fault on bidding for KW's.

$20 a click, that's amazing! I get don't even get into the double digit percentages near that...I guess it's a niche thing.

Perhaps gold plated watches or gold plated phones they pay $20 a click on a site like Harrods

The only place ive seen bids this high (or higher) is on the legal type offers (class action lawsuit stuff) which pay out hundreds of dollars per lead.

Heard of those numbers, but I don't really believe they're real.

Don't waste your efforts on Adsense. CPA is the way to go.

I have been using Adsense for many years. My highest click is $14.01. That is not regularly either. That was 1 time. The niche that got that has an average CPC of $3.90. $20 clicks are not unheard of I just don't think you could get them regularly on a daily basis.

Yup its hard to see easy easy money go.... the corporate PPC guys got there act together, that is where the gravy came from! - they use to just spray and pray their online advertisments. Now they all have professional optimization... if your not converting leads at the 2-5 per click range you will not only never see the next range of payouts... but your site will be blacklisted from their future ad spends.

If you build a quality lead incubation site, the big guys will come to you and make you an offer to buy leads directly. I am speaking from experience here.

I have had one 28$. Usually get around a dollar and occasionally the a good 10$ a click ones. But yes there are 20$ and 10$ clicks. It depends on keyword and demographic of user, time of day, day of week etc... Also google shows ads based on visitors past activity.

op asked how get some higher paying clicks. Get a list of high paying keywords.
forex, insurance, lawyers, debt management, help desk software, dedicated server hosting, investing. Try and incorporate blog posts with these topics occasionally and add a tag cloud to your sidebar or footer. You may not get a 20$ click but lots of times you will get 4 or 5 dollar clicks with words like this around.

In 2005 I had one click for $32. I couldn't help thinking that the advertiser got ripped off a bit on that one.

I think it can be possible in competitive niches like lawyers, insurance, etc... Also, some advertisers start bidding high to use the brute force strategy to outrank their competitors, so they can pay more than the usual for clicks when starting new campaigns, but their numbers should become "normal" after a certain time.
