not a wso, but this looks awesome:

POF 7-Day Mastery Guide | Quintessential guide to achieving massive scale and profitability on the Plenty of Fish advertising platform | iPyxel Creations | Straight-to-the-point internet marketing services and software

    (not an affiliate link).

I JUST got the book, about to dig into it today... Tom, the guy who wrote it is a ninja with pof and knows his stuff.

Ya this is some serious stuff.... i've got finch's.... all the pof stuff thats out there, this guide is layed out the best as far as day 1... do this... day 2 do that.

and the material is solid. its like you're learning from a super affiliate who's actually doing it vs writing about it.

I'd DEFO recommend this to anyone.

I think Finch's premium posts (especially vol. 1) complements especially well with the POF 7-Day Mastery Guide. His explanation of landing pages will help people doing POF a ton. There's nothing else out there that explains it better. Those two guides will explain just about everything you need to know.

Thanks Dave for the props. Really glad you found it valuable.

For 8 bucks I think Mike Morgans course at 45 pages is the best deal. Perhaps the other ones for 47 dollars are good also. But I am cheap and short on funds at this point so, thanks for recommending that

I think judging by the number of pages definitely isn't the right approach.

You should look at the contents and the reviews by trusted sources.

Yeah, this. Not sure if I qualify as a trusted source, but I took a gander at it.

Had I found it before I looked at pof advertising at all, it would have saved me some time, no doubt about it. Having said that, it's very basic. I'm a self confessed pof newby but didn't learn much, and from my albeit limited experience I don't think the information in the book is the type that will take me a lot closer to developing profitable campaigns.

You might ask, if I accept I'm no pof guru how can I make the assessment about the product and whether it will help? Essentially, it's because it's an introduction to pof advertising. It's a very nice and well set out intro, don't get me wrong. But it's not the sort of guidance that's going to guarantee you'll be matching a vertical with a target market, snagging solid CTR's and working towards getting your ROI in the black whilst tracking the whole shebang to get data with a view to narrowing your converting demographic. You're better off trying Finch, The Mastery Guide, Mr. Green, Dupre or even the pof blog for this. Or of course if M has more advanced guides, they too are probably worth a look.

If you're plumb fresh to the topic though, there are worse places to start.

There are other people saying the same thing basically giving a big heads up to the Mike Morgan POF pdf course, So its not like I am just taking any course out of the air and saying wow thats cheap so its great.

I am saying most newbies dont have a lot of money , and for 8 bucks this course has a lot of bang for the buck. Its not just a "47 page course" its a damn good POF tutorial.

the other ones for 47 bucks I am sure they are good too , but they are 6 times the price

as a newbie every where I turn around there are paid courses, paid tutors, (one just emailed me with a PPV course for "only $597" (he is a PPV coach, said he just finished a seminar for $2400 per person) I am sure the guy knows his stuff and its probably in the long run worth it if you follow the advice but...... , IMO better off spending money like that on traffic, testing etc Or I rather pay $67/month for that one paid board

. There is enough information out there on CPA etc if you dig for it, I dont want to waste 1000 bucks on WSOs and courses and "coaches"

so far I have only spent on this course but there is a good one I will buy for $47(traffic blackbook) but that course is famous, but its by one of the top 3 guys in the business so to me its worth it

You're talking about Aff Playbook? Totally worth the money. I'm in there for a while now. Better than any WSO/ebook out there. There are lots of super experienced high earning members and everyone shares their knowledge. I put my guide in there. Can't go wrong with it.

Mike's WSO is ok, but don't expect too much for $9. Still, there are some good tips there, just not really any masterful ones, and a lack of an actual case study is a shame.

I've been running my own dating site for a while. In fact I've built my own version of the PoF ad manager. I'd say that to be successful on PoF, you need to:

    1. Focus on ONE niche. Get to know it inside out. Get to know which offers convert (use a simple blog for this!). I'll tell you that the affiliates in my particular niches are WASTING THEIR MONEY! Ha - the majority are promoting THE WORST performing offers.

    2. Join PoF as an ordinary member! I've just joined so I've noticed a few ads. It's nice to see what other marketeers are doing right (and wrong!).

    3. In general with dating, the smaller and less saturated the niche, the better converting it is. When I come to setting up my own PoF campaigns, I expect most of my effort will be in identifying exactly the right demographic to show the offers to.

I crunched some numbers last night, and I'm not sure I could make PoF work, at least on the demographics it offers. It could work, but its clear that my CTR and conversion stats would have to be pretty darned good. According to my math I could make $4 from spending $3, which is cutting it a bit fine.

I do think I have some chances for big ROI on AdWords though, but I'm gonna have to figure out how to avoid appearing as an affiliate and avoiding bidding against the merchant's own ads (they don't like that). It's time to start building those landing pages!

I'd go with Tom Fang's POF beginner guide or Finch premium posts. Especially the second option is more than a solid base for starting out on POF while still giving you ideas for potential new traffic sources as well.
