Is sending traffic directly to offer ok?

If I'm an affiliate of a Clickbank product can I buy bannner advertising (using the vendors creatives) and just send traffic directly to the vendor's site?

Is this ethical/acceptable?

yeah... unless they specifically state they don't want you sending traffic directly to their site or the network you are getting the offers from states this.

However you will have to do some testing to see if creating your own lander before sending them to the vendor/advertiser converts better.

Do you mean a squeeze page? I thought Google doesn't like those. How do affiliates get around that?

Yes, you can do affiliate marketing without a website. Join forums and find blogs that are related to your niche. Help other members/visitors by posting relevant comments with your affiliate link. Or build Hubpages or Squidoo lens.

You could also write a viral ebook or a "special report" and insert links to affiliate products into it.

However, building a website is building an asset. If you want to create a long-term business you'll inevitably need to put together a website and I recommend that you start now. Aim to build authority websites because these perform better in the long run. These sites will give you long term income.

Google is not the only traffic source in affiliate marketing arena. Some affiliates drive traffic through PPV/CPV, CPM, and solo ads in their squeeze page.

I don't know about other people but google loves my squeeze pages.

Here is what I do, I put the squeeze page on domainname.com
and the only thing for them to do on that page is sign up, no other navigation or links, etc.

then on domainname.com/nameofblog I create a blog that I post articles and stuff on.

then I create other pages like domainname.com/nameofpage

Therefore, the site is not a single page site, but the homepage does not look like a homepage, it is my squeeze page.

The reason I don't like to send people directly to the offer is because I noticed I was getting a lot of traffic for other people and not getting many sales recorded. I noticed that not only can I add value to my list and give them insider information to help them, I actually get credit for the sales I made.

TopKat22, help me understand! When they get to domainname.com how do they go to dominname.com/nameofblog? Or domainname.com/nameofpage.com? Is this where the squeeze page come in? Once they enter their name and e-mail then they get to the other pages?

Affilorama-portal what do you mean by authority site? Be the authority of the product or the subject? Like if the product was a book, authority on the subject the book is about or the book itself?

An authority site is a site focused on only one niche. They rank so well because they provide the most relevant information (and the largest amount of information) on the topic.

When search engines spider a site, they try to determine what the overall topic of that site is. The more related content it finds the better. Then it checks the links from other sites that point to the site. Authority sites are sources for other sites so a lot of site link to it.

A high quality content site with at least 20 pages site and regularly adding fresh content would be a great way to build an authority site.

In most cases it is ok unless otherwise specified. If you want to double check then just hit up your AM and they should be able to fill you in.

  You won't have one in ClickBank, so you're better off contacting support.
  
  Or another option, contact affiliate support for the product you're promoting. I've had mixed results in getting responses this way though.

I say forums but i don't have to worry about that. Or you can just make a fanpage related to your product and target fans related to your products that's how i make my money $$$$

Ignore him. he's just trying to scam people out of their money (already stole $150 from me).

You probably won't find one useful post from him. He just talks about how he's making money with FB. Sad really.
