What Is Better? Products or Email Submits?

If you are an affiliate marketer then answer this question. What is better?

Marketing and selling products for a comission of the sale price

Or marketing an email submit form where you get paid for every email that is submitted?

Personally, for newbies, I think the email submit forms are easier because you don't have to get people to part with their money. But I would like to know what other affiliate think about this.

Using youtube is a great way to drive traffic to email/zip submits.
I have never thought of that before. Brilliant

I'd have to say products for 'real' whitehat promotions, and email/zip submits for blackhat stuff. And I don't mean blackhat where people try to say its just 'out of the box' stuff. I mean fraud blackhat. I've even gotten one of my AM's to admit that fraudulent blackhat methods account for a huge portion of email and zip submit offers.

You can't really 'fake' an actual purchase of a product, but its easy to get someones zip or email and transparently pass it in the background to the particular offer(s) of your choice.

Email/Zip submits are something I'd use for fake framing, BH. Good short-term income.

Products, on the other hand, allow you to build lists. Lists, which, if you treat the right, buy from you for long periods of time.

I prefer products because they bring more commission. Of course, it is bit difficult to convince people to buy things than asking them to submit their zip code or e-mail address.

Neither , marketing trial offers is the hot ticket right now. Doing solid money on that purely white hat, don't tell anybody .. (Shuushhh)

White hat is the way to go. I am not a fan of black hat tactics. I prefer to go white hat all the way and build up a good reputation over time. There is a lot of money in doing it that way

In my experience when starting out it is easier to get conversions for email and zip submits on PPC.

This is also my experience and I would recommend email and zip submits for everyone who is a beginner. Selling is an art and is a lot harder than converting.

But there is more money in actually selling stuff so you should also work on that. I am currently making the transition from email submits to paid products.
