My second day with PeerFly. Earnings: 5.90$ - Spent: 0.24$

[UPDATE]: 55$ spent - 33.40$ earned - 26 conversions

Hi warriors,
I am having a small success with PeerFly out there
I started promoting their offers less than 11 days ago.
I run both Facebook ads "using a FREE Facebook coupon that is about to be totally consumed now" and 7search ads.

Now I have stopped using Facebook. I spent too much money compared to results. Very poor earnings from it. 7search is working very good till now.

Using 7search alone will greatly decrease the cost while earnings are mostly stable.

My 7search "I already got 25$ bonus as I signed up using Luke's link "

My earnings at PeerFly:

I will keep you updated as my campaigns still run.

Thank you warriors for all help you gave me till I took my first steps in affiliate marketing

    Nice conversions, congratulations!

However, you spent $6.16 on facebook and earned $5.90, but it's easy now to decrease CPC and you'll break even. Just try more ads to your cityVille campaign to get at least 0.15 CTR and you'll get cheap click, like $0.20-$0.30 CPC and you'll get profitable. Try to focus on CityVille campaign, I think this will work nicely because is something that Facebook users like.

Will the CTR increase and CPC decrease by making more ads?
I really need to learn how to do this. Do I need to run more ads to decrease what I am currently paying?

Your CTR directly influences your CPC. This is because, having a higher CTR means that your ad has a better quality and less views are required for a click, making it more profitable for Facebook.

Testing more ad variations(especially more images) will help you find the ad with higher CTR. However, each variation needs testing, so you need to pay to get enough statistical data to see which ads has a higher CTR.

If you want, add me on skype and I'll try to help you as much as I can.

I certainly will. The problem is that Facebook campaigns are generally short and if I pay a lot of money to test them I may not be able to get good profits as the campaigns gradually fade away.

On PPC everything is about having good CTR, and you'll get that only from testing variations. There are campaigns that work for 6 months. Facebook campaigns are not short(it depends mostly on the offer), however they need to be freshen up to avoid ad blindness.

About testing, there are advertisers that test about 500 variations to get the best CTR...of course, they have money to test and in this case, the campaign is already profitable, they just want higher ROI.

You should focus on getting your CPC lower then EPC of your offer. Go and submit few more ads(find new images or tweak your existing ones - aka adding borders/effects) and see which one gets a higher CTR, respectively lower CPC. After few thousands impressions, stop the ads that have lower CTR and the ones that are not profitable(has CPC lower than offer EPC)

Excellent but far away from what I am getting right now
Let me explain using my current Facebook Ad:

I first made two copies of my ad, one for 18 to 25 years old and the second for 26 to 40. The first received no clicks while the second received 6 clicks "impressions are almost same"

so I paused the first ad and started to split the second one in to 2 separate copies with 2 different images to test CTR in both. One of them received clicks while the other did not.

Now, can I lower CPC of the best performing ad that has the highest CTR without fear that ad becomes "not showing on Facebook"?

        yes but
well that cannot be counted as profitable unless you think you will continue to fund Facebook by free coupons. I doubt thats scalable

You are right. I just meant that I did not pay more than 0.24$ and got 5.90$ in return as a first step. But if I couldn't decrease CPC in Facebook I would certainly be losing money in the upcoming days. Need a serious solution for this!

Can any warriors give me some suggestions? I have seen some WSO's that look very interesting, but can not implement them due to not getting approved

I applied to 3 networks and got approved by them all.
I simply build a WordPress blog with a good domain and started to post an article or two daily till I felt my site is unique and has helpful content then I applied.

You can't know after 6 clicks if a ad is good or not. Did the last 2 ads got the same number of impressions? What CTR did you have on the highest CTR ad?

Usually you need at least 20 clicks/xx,xxx impressions to know if it worth to continue with the ad or not. It happened that I got in the first minutes a CTR of 0.4% and 8 clicks and after one hour to find that the CTR lowered to 0.1%(and when you have a higher CTR, especially on the beginning, Facebook will throw a lot of impressions to your ad, so you need to set a daily budget to not burn all of your money so quickly).

If you have a good CTR, the CPC drops by itself, no need to lower, however, you can force 20% below the suggested bid and still getting impressions. Make the changes and wait 30-60 minutes...and monitor it constantly. If the impressions stopped, increase by few cents and wait.

      Thanks for these useful tips

I tried to put them in action and these are the most working ads till now:
      11,749 imp - 8 clicks - CTR: 0.068%
      21,688 imp - 10 clicks - CTR: 0.046%

      I'll try to test more.

        - one for males from -- to -- years old.
        - other for females from the same -- to -- years old.

That's almost right Pace it's just numbers + time game [After some additional leads the advertiser may shave or the campaign is going to die] but i think we should give him some motivation as he just get started.

Without motivation nobody can succeed, and we shouldn't ruin that especially when he actually found a good offer. He just needs better ads, more split testing, because seems that he found a converting offer.

The problem is many people start with free coupons thinking that with 50$ they will find a profitable campaign from the beginning and bank huge.

NO - $50 are not enough to find a profitable campaign and get real money from it, only if you are super lucky or you steal a working campaign from somebody else.

Even if you find somehow a profitable campaign, the main problem is that most networks have a Net 30 for payments, so you need to wait 30 days + the days remaining in current month to reinvest the money.

You're on the right track but you can't really scale since you're using a coupon and a .02% CTR isn't going to make you money if you have to spend money to display your ads. But, it's great that you've taken action and know that what you're doing now won't last forever. To learn Facebook you NEED money and a decent amount of it. Then you're going to have to test your ass off. There's just no other way to get to know the platform. Good Luck.

Fary, sounds like you are on the right tracks, keep up the work. I recently joined Peerfly as well and found Plenty Of Fish to be very lucrative. I have my CTR to about 0.2% now, thanks to the advice from people on Warrior forum.

As an aside, I have a question which is not directly related to your post, but not worth starting another thread over. I am trying to figure out which of the Peerfly CPA offers are compatible with Plenty of Fish.

I know that Plenty of Fish uses a CPM advertising scheme, but CPM is not listed as being 'allowed' or 'rejected' on Peerfly. Would the Plenty of Fish CPM come under the category of banner ads or PPV/CPV?

Plenty of Fish traffic would be considered Banner Display on our Allowed Marketing.

If an offer does not allow Banner Display, but accepts Social PPC you are welcome to email me and I'll see if it's fine for POF as well (sometimes it's a toss up, but the advertiser will let you try it out).

Hey Fary, just wondering if you are using any tracking tool to track your campaigns? If not, be sure to have it set up (prosper202 is good option).

I had a look at this. It looks great. But I have set 2 landing pages for my offers:
        - one by using iFrame and direct linking to it from Facebook only. So any click to it would be certainly from Facebook PPC.
        - the second is my affiliate link in which I use sub id as a tracking method and it works well with 7 search.

I highly recommend you to start with reading every and each word Luke posted to his blog: http://www.lukepeerfly.com/

It has great information on setting up campaigns and getting them approved by Facebook or any other network. It teaches you how to direct link any offer and use tracking tools.

After you absorb all these information it is time to put them in practice and try hard till you get your first conversion. You will be motivated to do better

Fary, test more ads and get the CTR as high as you can, that's your main concern...because you can't do anything on the offer's landing page to increase conversions.

Regarding to conversion, you have a very low number of conversions/clicks so it doesn't mean that your campaign is dying or you won't be profitable. Maybe you'll get 2 conversions in the next 5 clicks...

Set up Prosper202 for better tracking, you'll like the spy view

Yes, it's free while in beta, and will stay like this few more days. However, all users signed up in beta period will get a 20-40% discount, if they want to continue with CrazyCTR after beta ends.

I developed it, firstly to help me on my campaigns than I realized affiliates will like it so I made a public version.

The idea behind it is simple - make your ads stand out and attract user's attention. Lot of guys use photoshop to apply all kind of effects to make their ads more eye-catching, but it takes time and some photoshop knowledge.

CrazyCTR makes everything much easier and faster. It works in batch mode and has a bunch of predefined effects (called Boost CTR packs) which can be applied in just few clicks to your images. There are "packs" with different border colors and sizes, different border shapes, multiple image adjustments at once and so on. You can also select which effects/borders to apply, set width, shape, color and so on, or you can adjust brightness, saturation, hue, contrast, etc...all in batch mode(of course, you can select individual images if you want).

It also has a feature that helps you gather images much faster. You can crop and add images to your account directly from google images/flickr/deviantart or other websites...and it resizes them to fit on 110x80, facebook/pof standard image size automatically. You can download all of them later or you can apply effects on your account first than save to your computer.

Sorry for such a long description but I hope it helps.

CTR is my real nightmare I tried more than 12 ad copies till now and still no more than 0.6% CTR. As the ad runs, the CTR is steadily declining.
I need to explain this more so I'll probably make a new thread for this.

The only thing I found so weird is that I got 5 conversions in a single day then 2 days after just 2 conversions even though I did not make any change of my marketing methods!

Fary, 0.06% or 0.6%? because 0.6% is a very high CTR for facebook (even if you advertise fan pages) and you should get very cheap clicks.

If 0.06%, try more images, try more tweaks...if you want, add me on skype and I'll show you some nice combinations with CrazyCTR, like double rounded borders and so on...

That would not be allowed because that offer specifically restricts iFraming.

Congrats on making conversions but if you continue like that on
Facebook you are gonna burn all your money if you don't adjust
    your ads and change targeting.
According to your stats you are getting REALLY low CTR and by the
look of it your Iphone CTR is better then the rest.
Your CTR should be higher than 0,15% at least to make good money
and to scale a campaign, because as I can see you are promoting
email/zip submit offer paying $1,2-$2 max - that way CTR is a KING.
Try to make more ads play a bit with demographics, make a research
on Quantcast what audience to target, etc...

test, test and test again to see success.

I just added MANY new keywords to each od my campaigns. Some of them worked really well, other did not. In the next few hours I'm gonna clean all them and focus on the most converting/profitable ones.

As a result of increasing number of keywords, the cost started to rise again with more conversions.

Testing more ad variations(especially more images) will help you find the ad with higher CTR. However, each variation needs testing, so you need to pay to get enough statistical data to see which ads has a higher CTR.

I have heard of guys making money with 7search but not good money or big money

someone spending 10 bucks and getting 13 dollars, is good ROI but if you cant scale it wayyyyy up then its kind of a waste of time

anyone who is doing ok with 7search making GOOD MONEY per week? (not ROI) Overall profit is what I am curious about

I have heard people say sure you can make good ROI on 7search but its not enough traffic you cant really scale it up

I signed up already but they did not add the funds to my account! Must I deposit a certain amount of money first?

I am sure we are not talking about the same thing. 7search has no pics for ads and CTR is not a factor to determine the click cost.

Some keywords there get millions of searches monthly. I think if we could make a good use of them it would be a real money-making machine.

Nice stats, considering that these are your first campaigns!

7Search can be good, but FB has a lot of potential, too, you just need to know how to use it properly. So, after you get things going make sure you give FB one more shot. You will see that social PPC rocks with CPA!

Yea, I am sure it it.
The problem is: I do not simply have enough budget to do more testing

Yea, that's one of the biggest problems when you start. I think about 200$ is enough to hit a profitable campaign, if you spend them carefully.

Another problem is, after you find a profitable campaign, do you have enough money to scale it? Most cpa networks have net 30, so you need to wait a bit to re-invest the money. However, you can borrow money from friends/familly and repay them after you get paid.

In the date specified I needed millions of impressions to get that number of clicks because my targeting was not accurate enough
Now, I only need 100 - 200 thousand impressions. In 7search.com you do not have to worry about your CTR but keep an eye on CR.

I thought it has a poor traffic too but when I learnt how to scale and optimize my traffic I could make a huge ROI. The quality of 7search traffic is HIGH providing that you know how to make use of it.

I posted my progress to a new topic located here http://www.warriorforum.com/ad-netwo...-here-how.html
