Hi all,

I am much confuse about the difference between squeeze page and landing page.Is there is any difference between Squeeze Page and Landing Page. I think the squeeze page is that page where we can collect visitor's email and landing page only explain the offer and force the visitor to complete the offer?
Am I right?
please correct my concept Also provide me some sample of good landing pages and squeeze pages.

Also what would you suggest to do?
Squeeze page?
Landing Page?
or Direct Linking

Thanks

  • squeeze page, opt in page, and landing page are all the same.

Primary function is to obtain email address, before giving them a free ebook or free video or something of value.

Also used to get email before sending them to affiliate sales page. You get their email before you send them to the sales page of the product or service you are promoting or affiliated with.

    • No, not at all. Squeeze page is an opt in page, yes. But landing page is the page your visitor "lands" after the click. It is the pre-sell page where you convince the visitor to check out your offer by giving them information long or short. It may have an opt in box or not.

Some people do not use landing pages. They just capture their email and then redirect to the sales page. That's where you get confused.
  • The slight difference is that a Squeeze page could be a Landing page but a Landing page may not be a squeeze page. A landing page is directly related to advertisement and nothing more than that while a squeeze page could kind of a blog where you have options for following it or getting updated email because of subscribing updates.
Where a landing page is used for affiliate marketing a squeeze page is used for collecting emails, may be the ultimate motive of the both the pages is same but ways are different.
  • Landing page but a Landing page may not be a squeeze page

I think that's the point, but I am still confuse about landing pages. Either we include any video, any picture banner or etc?
please share some samples of landing pages

    • A landing page is ANY page that a visitor initially lands on when they visit a website/domain. There are no rules - so yes you can include videos, pictures, banners, etc. Just try different things and see which type of content on your landing page results in the highest conversion rate.
    • Although to be technically correct, the landing page is where the person "lands" so is any first page someone sees and the squeeze page is to just "squeeze" an opt in out of the visitor, most people use those names interchangably.

There has been much discussion on this forum as to what works to get sign ups, a page with a lot of content that just has an opt in box that floats over it after a few seconds, one on the site or to use a squeeze page.

It really depends on what works for you.

I was given some high converting sgueeze page templates from a top marketers who has tested every type of squeeze page, long, short, video, graphics, etc. He has found that the squeeze page with text only, no graphics, no pictures and no video convert the best, so that is what he gave me and now I give those away to my subscribers. They are easy to put up, you just then edit them with your particular offer, add your opt in box and you are done.

I had no previous technical skill so the first one took me a couple days to get done. Now, once I write the copy, I can get one up in 15 minutes or so.

So, to summarize, what I use and what I recommend and has worked for, is a text only squeeze page that has not other links on it but an opt in box.

However, as I said, there has been much discussion about this on this forum so I already know there are those who disagree with me.

What you really need to do is see for yourself what works for you and then stick with it.

If you want to see some landing pages, check out all the ones people on this forum are using themselves.

  • You can include whatever you like on your landing page. Just remember though, to keep it clean, not cluttered, highlight some important points of why the visitor needs your offer, and make it clear what they have to do to get to the next step aka call to action.
