What kind of offers work well with CPV RON traffic?

Anyone have any ideas?

I was thinking maybe some kind of gift card offer.

To make this work, you need to rotate about 20-30 offers and see what works. Don't try to guess, because it hardly ever works out the way you think it will.

RON can work for sure, but you need to be comfortable throwing a lot of money at it to find a winner.

      Great idea. THANKS

I was running some RON traffic and had to cut it off in like 5 minutes this morning. Nearly 6,000 clicks haha

So I'm intrigued by the raw power of the traffic source.

It would be nice to find an offer that works with it and be off to the races somehow.

      Hi David,

Have you personally been able to make RON traffic work, and if so, how long have the campaigns stayed profitable?

      Thanks.

Yes, but it's not easy. Like I say, you have to throw a lot of offers at it and spend quite a bit before you see what might work. Campaigns can last a couple days to months.

          Thanks David.

The traditional teaching on new campaigns says to spend 2 -3 times the payout on testing. Does that also apply to RON campaigns, or do you spend more?

            That's what I'm wondering too...

Because if so, then we're talking about only spending about $100 to test all 20 to 30 offers.

That traditional teaching (I used to teach it too) is basically wrong. For a 1 offer campaign you need to spend at least $25 before deciding anything.

For RON traffic...say you're rotating 30 offers. You're going to spend quite a bit to get enough traffic to all of them to really know anything. Like I say, this isn't a method for the squeamish. There's also no guarantee that any of the 30 offers will work. Even if a couple show promise, you might be running at a loss for a while trying to optimize it.

Not trying to talk anyone out of trying this...just know that you're going to have to spend quite a bit more than $100 to get this working.

IMO there is no easy answer - for this it's always been rotate to success for me

A publisher of mine did a case study on his blog:
PPV RON Traffic Still Proves Useless | MikeChiasson.com

Didn't go so hot with anything really.

Theoretically, RON should work a little for offers affected by HUGE news.
News that everyone knows and hears.

Then an offer based around that should convert, otherwise. You're wasting your time, unless you do a lot of testing

Yeah, it's pretty hit & miss with CPV networks
