First Facebook Ad Disapproved..

So I took the plunge and submitted my first FB ad. I received an email a couple hours later saying it was disapproved.

"The destination of your ad or Sponsored Story either violates Facebook's Advertising Guidelines or could not be reviewed. Before resubmitting it, please visit our Help Center for additional information and examples compliant with our Advertising Guidelines."

Now I am assuming this is because it was a direct link. The offer is for USA so it can be reviewed by them. I thought direct linking works on FB? Should I try to resubmit or set up a landing page?

When submitting a FB ad, try to link it to a stand-alone page where you are talking about that particular product, give about a 400-500 word page then at the bottom...put in the real link that you want the user to go.

    Always worked for me.

    Good luck.

If you direct link they will probably ban most of your ads with that offer. If you don't want to use a landing page, try to use prosper202 and set there a tracking link to the offer website, without aff-link, just directly to offer website. Make sure your campaign is paused. After your ads are accepted, just change your link in prosper202 to your aff offer and resume your campaign.

Most of my ads don't get disapproved because I know some sneaky tactics to get them approved most of the time. A lot facebook marketers loosing money on facebook because don't know how to promote. Promoting the right way that includes your ad picture and your ads body and how you target your fans. That's what makes your ads approved and makes $$$

UPDATE : I clicked the 'preview link' in my dashboard and this popped up in a FB page

My offer is nothing scammy, or anything. My guess (maybe I'm totally off) is that since the offer is from Maxbounty, and they had that lawsuit a while back with FB, that is my problem. Right? Should I just redirect a domain to the offer?

Our links are definitely not blacklisted by FB.

It's most likely that the copy, the type of offer, etc. isn't following FB's ad guidelines.

Feel free to IM me to chat further!

What kind of offer were you promoting ?
Don't try resubmitting the same ad again, there is a chance that you could be banned for doing like this.

just cloak your link buddy, you will be fine. It's not to do with direct linking. Your ad disapproved because your external link was blocked and Fb was unable to view your destination URL. Use bit.ly or TK or your own domain and redirect with your affiliate link.

They are really sensitive and kind of dumb.

I put up an ad with a shirtless ripped guy for a muscle building campaign and they were all like NUH UH THAT'S INSULTING TO PEOPLE.

Same style picture with flexing biceps and a shirt on? Ad approved.

    Seriously?

    Good work for jumping in..
Double check your URL for typos (it's happened to the best of us). Another posibilty is the link was dead at that point in time.

My advice is to take it easy if your FaceBook account is still new to ensure compliance. Sometimes this doesn't work as well as I've have ads rejected even though it meets all the guidelines. Just need to keep trying and testing things out, somethings it might be just a change of graphics or the subject lines.
