I used Facebook for advertising with coupons i had. If you want to give it a try just coupons to give you an idea. I personally prefer Adwords but i you know how to target people Facebook can be a good choice too.

As implied by honestbizpro's experienced reply, it's rare that any effort on the most basic level will garner results these days. Most people making big money are working at a much deeper level. That, of course, is just my opinion, substantiated by my personal experiences over a fair bit of time. Two years ago, things were so simple ...

PPC on Facebook ROCKS. I'm experiencing a 14% conversion rate on just one of my offers.

It's worth checking out but be prepared to lose money but the upside is that once you get a profitable campaign running it's very easy to scale it. Just remember the demographics of facebook users and you'll be fine.

I prefer myspace ads given the choice, I'm having fantastic success uploading CPA banners and targeting by demographic.

Good reply. Me and a few other affiliates were pushing dating back in early beta stages and made $3-5k/day. Starting to get really competitive now though since all of the forums are getting wind of it.

Ive tried researching facebook applications-can anyone point me to some GOOD info about this? How much does it cost to get into? How long does it take to make a return? How do you give the apps away, just post them on facebook or what?
Thanks to anyone who can point me in the right direction.

Start researching FaceBook Applications. You will take your CPA to another level. If you are low on funds, create a group of like-minded individuals to invest in a quality programmer. This time next year you will be sitting on re-curring Gold. (or sooner)

Also check into Iphone apps. Software will take you a long way.
So, you get an iPhone app going, and pardon my ignorance, but what do you do with it regarding CPA offers?
I take it you don't mean run a FB ad,,,,supposedly Aymen of AC fame hits Facebook software apps hard, but he hasn't spoken to that yet.

Since social media is fairly new to CPA marketing, I think it's tough to say one way or another if it is successful as a whole. I also think the biggest factor on whether or not you'll have success is which campaigns you are running. Some niches will obviously do better than others.

I've tried promoting Make Money with Google products, which seem to be selling like hotcakes. But everytime I try, I get disapproved! And there are other ads on Facebook linking to similar stuff! Any advice on getting approved with these types of products? (free trial + recurring charges)

    Thanks very much!

You just have to be smart on what offer you'll promote on Facebook. Make sure you did the research to know more demographic informations about your customers then setup your campaign having this in mind. Don't forget to ASK your AM too see if the offer converts well, make sure he don't tells you bull**** as some people does because they'll make more money on that specific offer.

    Good luck!

I've been running ads on FB for around 6 months. It used to be pretty easy to make bank off dating. It still works, but not nearly as easy. Lower payout offers work well as well as short form type offers. There are also a lot of networks that have FB complient mobiles you can run, though they can be hit of miss if you dont target them right.

It's still a really viable traffic source to check out, just getting more saturated with affiliates and other advertisers these days. Nowhere as near as bad as the big G in my opinion. It is most definitely still profitable.

Also if you're going to be putting up a lot of ads check out 4hour affiliate's FB ads manager. Best tool for FB. Practically necessary if you're going to get serious. Good luck!

Facebook is, IMO, one of the best traffic sources for beginners. I'm not saying it's better or more profitable than other platforms or direct media buys. However, it's relatively easy to get profitable with simple campaigns on FB promoting international lead gen offers.

Obviously, when I say relatively simple I'm not saying that all you have to do is pick a random offer set up a campaing and make money. There is still a lot of testing involved and finding the right approaches and offers can be a challenge in the beginning.

The reason why I say it easier than most alternatives out there, is because it offers plenty of opportunities in terms of offers and niches that you can promote and also because it's easy to control your budget and do not spend too much on testing, which can be a problem for beginners getting started with media buys.
