Banned from FB, Google, and MSN

Well I'm sitting here completely and utterly stunned.

I started doing PPC 3-4 days ago.I was making money on Facebook when I got an error message. I didn't think much of it and tried to scale to google. I got banned from Google. Then today banned from MSN.

All I did was run one direct link to this product: paleo recipe book(google it i can't post the link...it happens to be a very good product btw.) I had read various reports that direct linking with adwords CAN be done as long as the sites follow the T&C. I also saw other people direct linking to the same product. So I was like woot! it's ok. This appears wrong.

Here's an example email from MSN I got this morning (who don't supposedly use the ban hammer so much)

"Dear Kenneth,

Thank you for contacting Microsoft adCenter Support, my name Billy Szymanski.

Based on our investigation, your account will remain closed. Please understand that we treat unauthorized account access and billing as a very serious matter and that we reviewed your case thoroughly before reaching our conclusion. We keep security checks like these in place to protect our advertisers and our customers. For privacy and security reasons, we cannot provide details around your specific account closure, but the most common reasons we are forced to close Microsoft Advertising adCenter accounts include:

The payment method on file was not authorized by the account owner

The account was accessed without authorization

The account is related to an account that was previously closed "

Facebook has yet to send me an email but they turned off my spending privileges 3 days ago.

All my accounts have been charged and paid. Anybody have any idea whats going on??? Are they really just this harsh for direct linking??

That sounds more like it's about your credit card account. I never got that message, but they make it sound like credit card fraud.

But, what I do know is that Google/MSN/FB are scared of diet ebooks. A LOT of scammers use them, and you will often get shut down when you try to affiliate a diet ebook. You will even get shut down if you make inflated claims like, "This product will make you lose 10 pounds in 1 week!"

However, that letter doesn't make it sound like it's a problem with the direct link.

Adwords just said it was their T&C
      "Dear AdWords Advertiser,

It has come to our attention that your Google AdWords account does not comply with our Terms of Service and Advertising Policies. As a result, your account and any related accounts have been suspended, and your ads will no longer run on Google. Please be aware that you are prohibited from possessing or creating any other AdWords accounts, both now and in the future."

I tried to avoid inflated claims and just stated how it helped you stay on the paleo diet.

But, did you say anything about weight loss at all? Any, "it will make/help you lose ## pounds?" or "this is the best diet ever"? Anything like that at all? You may not think it's inflated, but Google has become very scrutinizing of these products.

It might be better if you showed the website so I/someone else could look through it.

That's got nothing to do with direct linking my friend. There is something not kosher with your payment type. You don't get banned that quickly for direct linking.

Credit card fraud is serious so they shut you down immediately.

Call you bank, get a new card, and reset up the accounts in your girlfriends name....the start banking.

You cannot direct link with google adwords, for bing/msn it appears you have a payment issue..

What is your issue on FB? How are you paying them? cc?

Yeah same CC I've owned for years. I have exemplary credit. They billed it so I don't see why it would be a problem. Could they just be angry about the direct linking.. but said this out as their standard email?

Wait, you didn't have a landing page?

You can't direct link to someone else using an affiliate URL. You need to have a landing page that uses your affiliate URL. Even that is something difficult, because you need to have a website that really offers value to your readers.

I would actually be ok with this entire debacle if FB doesn't banhammer me as well. Do they usually send an email on a ban? I haven't received one as of yet.. Only be unable to access the paid ads for a few days.

This is exactly why myself and a group of respected IM's have decided to teach how to purchase traffic profitably, without networks, and without a big budget.

The Benefits of Direct Media Buys

      • Tap into a high volume of traffic
      • Cut out the middle man (ad networks, google adsense)
      • Publisher gets a better deal out of it rather than with Ad Network.
      • Build a relationship with the publisher who operates in a relevant niche to your business
o They want you as a customer
o Networks have no idea who you are, so they don't care if you get dropped
      • You get more traffic, and don't have to compete with others to get that site placement
      • Don't get into a bidding war with competitors, more traffic all to yourself
o You can target almost any niche
      • Direct buys you don't have to worry about any of the crap google does, especially if you are an affiliate marketer.
o You don't have to worry about quality scores or your campaign getting slapped
o No need to build up elaborate sites to satisfy and ad networks.
o Can just create quick and simple landing pages without creating terms of service, contact us, and a backend of blog entries.
      • Basically you have a lot more transparency and control for your ad traffic sources. = You don't rely on one place for traffic such as google.

Message me if you are interested in learning these techniques.
