Will You Fight For me?

Hey Warriors,

I am a business owner working on my online marketing strategy.
When i came across the idea of CPA networks i was very excited because paying a marketer a portion of a sale seems very straight forward and fair to me. very measurable. But I also see a big potential for problems.
My main concern is whether or not affiliates will even want to pick up my campaign and if they (you) do, what would that do to my brand.

I sell lullaby CD's, i make real music for babies using real instruments and position my brand against the cookie cutter, synthesized yuck you usually find on lullaby CD's.
Cd's sell for $14.99 and i think i could pay affiliates $2-$3 per conversion. Would that work ? I've seen warriors talking about credit card offers that will pay $25 for a fully filled form conversion, can i compete with that with my $2 offer for a completed sale conversion?

I have doubts..

Otherwise i would love to get suggestions from those in the trenches about what to do to make my proposition more attractive to affiliates.

What are some basic guide lines warriors look for when considering a campaign (beyond dollar per conversion) ?

All input and replies would be very appreciated!

Thanks a lot!

S

I'll be honest, i have no knowledge regarding the lullaby CD niche...Just looking at the information from your post though - You're not going to get any traction with that payout / model...

First - I dont know how large the market is for a product like this.

No chance anyone will run a sale based offer that charges $14 plus at a $2 - $3 payout to publishers...

You may be better off not even using a network or third party publishers.

I would do some research on websites in this niche, attempt to contact them directly, and place ad's on those websites directly. The more parties you involve, the less profit for you.

    Best of luck.

      Hey Acquinity,

      Thanks for the input!

      That's what i figured..

Lullaby Cd's are part of the pregnancy/baby product market which is a huge market as you know.
It could work in a maternity/baby boutique type site but i don't know if that's something that people actually do (as affiliates).

      Thanks!

Put it on a continuity deal. First month gets their first cd free, then a new cd every month or so. Bump that payout to 10 - 20$ and then you might get a few hooked, but thats a very niche market, and with the death of the CD soon coming - well, it'll still be a hard sell.

      I don't understand this.

What is a continuity deal ?

First month gets their first cd free
Does this refer to affiliates? Customers?

      Bump that payout to 10 - 20$
      How can i pay out a $10 commission on a 14.99 sale ?

      Thanks a lot for posting!
