If an offer just stops converting...

I had a new campaign that was doing well, getting about 20 conversions a day. Then yesterday, it just stopped. Not a single conversion.

I checked my links, and everything still clicks through fine. If the advertiser started scrubbing, that would be pretty extreme I would think.

My question is, would it be advisable to speak with my AM about it? The general wisdom seems to suggest that it's better not to raise the issue of scrubbing with AMs, and simply go find a different offer on a different network. Of course, it could be something else completely.

Thanks in advance for your input.

  • Yes, first you definitely need to contact your AM. ( there's some stories when AM stealing money , but first you need to contact your AM )

I think you did have a quality traffic ( whats your CTR ) but you were receiving 20 clicks every day, It can't just stop. You should definitely contact your AM he will forward your message to advertiser.

It can be that advertiser system just broken lol and all your leads are bogus/fraud or even no exist.

    What network you re using?

    • Well, it's a direct linking PPV campaign, and 2% of the impressions were converting.

It could easily be due to technical issues on the advertiser's end, that why I didn't want to just jump on it as scrubbing.

It's also a brand new offer, which makes me wonder if the advertiser just isn't getting it to convert on the back end.

I'd prefer not to say what network it's on, but I've been running offers with them for a while, and they've always been pretty fair and transparent with me.
  • I'd advice you to talk to your AM first, before taking any other action.

There might be a technical error or something.

And good job for getting that kind of conversions. All the bests.
  • Probably it's just an error at advertiser's end.
  • Check out Naveen's CPA Anti Scrubber (not affiliate link)

Seems like that was new to CPA marketer's. Naveen has a good reputation and well known in CPA forum too.

Talking to your AM is always good answer but who knows? As you said, AM can steal the money which means AM can tell you bs lies. It is best to learn and work things out yourself in the end.

  • Most likely a advertiser error, I would contact your AM.
  • Here are the things you can do!

    - Contact your AM and Explain hi the prob! (Dont say Are you Scrubbing? )

    - If he doesn't responds or tells you some Crap stories... LEAVE THEM !

    - Next time work with a good network!

    Regards

    • Doesn't have to be the cpa network, can be the advertiser that's scrubbing as well, which is really likely if he's running submits(not sure if you are. ) some dating offers are also known for scrubbing.

    • yeah you saying true, but..

He's receiving clicks like other days, so why conversions not coming? It can't just stop convert if other days was 20 conversions with the same amount of clicks.

  • This was happened to me also and I observed that this case usually happen if you stick to one offer, so better to rotate.
  • maybe links are blocked by anti-virus programs, or social media sites block it., happend to me once. for me the links worked fine to find out later they where are blocked for others
  • There's a lot of different things it could be.

Pause the traffic and contact your AM.

The offer page could have hit a problem on their end, or they could have blocked your traffic... lots of possibilities. Only way to know is to work your contacts.
  • Remember that you get different "types" on people on at different times and different days. For some of the offers i promote I only run them on 2-3 days of the week.

For example most people are in a different mindset at weekends than during the work week.
  • How long have you been running with that offer/campaign???

Could you swap in a different offer?
