CPV,POF,& Project wonderful

Hello,everyone.

I would have asked this in the Main Discussion board, but the copywriters may have been provoked to pounce...

Since many here have used CPV,Pof and the like for CPA,
Do y'all think it would be a good return to use them for a non CPA campaign?

I have an SEO ebook ready to launch as an WSO, but am considering a soft launch for testing the waters and yada-yada.

Excuse my absence,I will be returning to the thread later this eve.

Thanks for your help,
Regards ,
Rob

I wouldn't suggest POF for promoting an SEO ebook. Those people are there looking to hook up with somebody. I would guess that the majority don't even know what SEO stands for, LOL.

CPV could work though. You could target SEO blogs and the like, really drilling down on your target market. Selling upfront typically doesn't work well with CPV, so you'll likely need to build a list and promote your WSO them that way

Agree with MTVida 100%. Pof is way far off SEO stuff. You can do Bizops and weight loss but i wouldn't really use POF for testing such things.

Try CPV or Facebook where you can target some later Traffic for your testing.

    All the best

I would also agree that we're not the right platform for an SEO book UNLESS you used professions targeting and only hit up the entrepreneurs

@MTVida- Thanks for the heads up reOF. I assumed it was a CPV platform for whatever, not just dating/relationship ( oops!)
Was not really expecting sales from a CPV campaign, but that would be a plus
Definitely like the drilling down part

@Aminur- Facebook. a good alternative. easy to burn through a budget?
    I want cheap- cheap data.

@POFBen- So, it is a possibility? hmm. sounds iffy... Thanks for clarifying though.

I was thinking more on CPV. Since the views are based on the adware platform, the saavy website owner, aka my target customer, probably does not have a toolbar or such installed in their browser. Hmmph. It is cheap traffic though.

I realize this may sound strange coming from an SEO guy, testing with paid traffic and all. I am expanding my horizons .

By the way ,you all rock!

    Cheers
    Rob

I don't think CPV would be the best choice really (prove me wrong though!).

Who is your target audience? Affiliates looking to do SEO? Businesses? etc?

You'll get good results with PPC and Facebook. If you use a good angle in a Facebook ad and use precise targeting you'll get good results.

Target is any website owner. My system is a base SEO plan to establish and maintain a foundation for an ongoing traffic and ranking strategy

I know very little bout FB. Do you need a fanpage setup to run campaigns? Is there a minimum amount to invest?
What would be a "good" approach for an ad?
