As far as i know, P202 does work on shared hosting. Try to search for more info on google.

Or you can try BevoMedia instead.

AS mtm said Prosper202 does work on Shared HG. You should have no problem in running it on shared hosting ..

I am using shared hosting and doing fine with my P202, but if you are using paid traffic I suggest you to use VPS

Prosper 202 will work fine on most shared hosing plans up to a point. If you plan on driving some serious numbers, a VPS hosing plan may be necessary. Best way to know is to contact support at your hosting company and tell them what you're planning.

As for getting it set up, I've put together both a video and a report that should get you through installation. Have a look at the link in my sig

Great stuff Sheldon. I had already setup my P202 and tried using it to track a campaign, but was not getting the data I was supposed to get; only clicks from referrer. Your in-depth set-up videos showed me small details in setting up campaign tracking that make all the difference. With all due respect to P202 videos, they suck for tracking novices like me and their help is non-existent unless you have a problem that has been popular in the forum. Your site was the answer to my prayer and I can't thank you enough.

I only want to drive few hundreds of visitors daily to my lander. Does anyone have any guides in installing P202 on shared hosting? I tried hostgator guide but it doesn't work.

Check out Bevomedia, for that sort of volume it might just do the trick. If you still need P202, there's documentations and video tutorials on their site T202 Tutorial Videos

I have used P202 before but ended up with CPVLab as I needed to track extensive campaigns. I've just setup a simple campaign on Bevomedia as its seems easy to use. I have dealt with Ryan, the owner and he knows is stuff.

So nice that they made all those videos... then restrict anyone from being able to watch them. Unless you know something I don't...

Weather you're installing on shared hosing or VPS, the steps really aren't any different. With a few hundred visitors per day, I would think you should be fine on shared hosting.

Old(ish) thread, I know. I spent half the afternoon yesterday learning Prosper202 and finally got the hang of everything. I will say that it has a VERY steep learning curve if you've never used anything like it. I'm starting to get into CPA a bit more heavily so I wanted a robust tracking solution.

So far, I really, really like it. With one BIG annoyance. There's no way to clear certain clicks. So clicks from me testing my links, bots, etc, can't be cleared and it's skewing the stats a little.

I wonder if I should check out Bevo instead?

Yes, you should. Bevo is much better than prosper202 IMHO.

P202 installed OK for me on Hostgator - I stuck it on a subdomain. If you're hosting your own ads or doing PPV then shared hosting is probably a bad idea. But if the vendor is hosting the ads and you're doing PPC then shared hosting is OK.

P202 is very nice, but it's shame there's no country lookup any more. Also the official documentation sucks. Who wrote that? Yeuch!

However, once it's up and running it's really awesome, especially if you can use a tracking pixel to track your conversions.
