Best CPM network for my site

Hey Warriors,

I'm looking for a CPM Network that accepts smaller publishers (my site gains around 40,000 page views per month). As my site, Brocrastinator, is a wide variety men's entertainment based niche, it's difficult to convert well on CPC programs like Google AdSense.

I'm wondering if anyone knows a good CPM network that pays well, perhaps over $1 eCPM? I've tried a few and some are really low quality, while other won't accept my site because it's simply too small. Thank you.

40,000 pageviews per month is on the lower end of the top tier ad networks' requirements - which might be the reason you haven't found a high paying network yet. Also, whilst some networks may pay you using a CPM model, they are always looking at the CTR and sales conversions - and if you're ads aren;t converting you will get lower CPMs.

With regards to your ads not converting well, however, it might be worth looking into changing your theme a little to integrate a 728x90 leaderboard rather than a 468x60 banner at the top of the page. Your sidebar 300x240 rectangle is very low down the page as well - so low that on an article page the content finishes before a user would have scrolled down to that ad - again this will result in poor performance with your ads. Try moving this ad up your sidebar, or again changing it for maybe a 160x600 skycraper.

Once you have managed to get a better conversion rate on your ads (and hopefully a few more pageviews) - then try submitting your site to some of the top tier ad networks like Tribal Fusion, Casale Media, ValueClick Media, and Burst Media. Or even some more entertainment vertical networks such as Gorilla Nation or Technorati Media.

I've done some reviews of the PPC and CPM ad networks that I have found to work best on my sites over at AdBalance

That's excellent advice, I really appreciate how straight forward you were. I'll definitely look to implement those changes and will continue an effort to raise traffic numbers and increase CTR.
