Hello all,

I'm just wondering has anybody experienced success with Craigslist and CPA?

I'm curious of what people been doing to get conversions over there.

    Craiglist + CPA = blackhat (I think you already knew this). Yes, craiglist was really good few years ago for promoting different CPA offers and even e-whoring. But, now there's such a competition that it's very hard to trick people sign up for your offers.

      Craigslist is just traffic and isn't just about tricking people. That's what 99% of CPAers who try Craigslist do, but that's the wrong way to approach it. Like Coach said, tricking people will likely get your commissions denied so it's not worth it.


      I'm tired of defending CL as a good traffic source because most people want to take shortcuts and do it the wrong way. But I will say this...

      For 95% of marketers reading this, stay away from CL. For the 5% who are willing to work within the rules of CL and who are willing to think a little bit creatively, CL can be a goldmine.

      Banned by whom? Craigslist ADs are related to the affiliate offer that you're promoting. Affiliate program owner gets new customers. Why would you get banned?

      I personally used craigslist for cpa for years, and never got banned.

    Plenty of BlueFart craigslist methods to do, but do you really want to get banned from your CPA Network, and possible all CPA networks? Not worth it Imo, but Ewhoring can make you a lot of money really fast, so you never know......some are willing to risk it all Goodluck!

    Craiglists+CPA= a very short term way to make money

    CL can definitely be a Goldmine....I do not defend it or promote it anymore simply because of the TOS. I still play the game sometimes and it can be quite the lead generator!

    Using craigslist to "trick" users is in violation of almost every major CPA network's T&C and in violation of Craiglist's T&C. It's illegal and unethical

      Gotta know how to qualify and filter your traffic.

      As far as advertisers and networks not liking the traffic its not always true and its easy to filter or "hide" that the traffic/lead actually originated from craigslist.

      Getting traffic to your own offers, clickbank offers, or CPA offers that originate from CL can be profitable.

      The ROI on CL can also be REALLY HIGH. Much higher than PPC/Media buying. Less Risk too as its cheaper to test.

            I would love to see the entire sales funnel throughout this system. I actually think CL traffic is not as bad as made out to be. It's the "tricksters" that ruin things.

              I can tell you how the sales funnel works but not my niche. The niche and method is not being used by anyone else on craigslist. Just a creative method. The key is getting something to work and getting posts up for cheapest price possible so ROI is highest.

              For this method Im posting a direct link on craigslist to my website. The person goes to my website and fills out information - then I direct them to my offer and at the same time they receive an email from my site.

              Then my callers call each person up following up with them helping them complete the offer and/or asking why they didnt do it. My site filters leads before they get to the CPA offer and I capture information from them and follow up with phone calls and emails.

                Most of the time Craigslist traffic is not allowed. There are many ways around and ones that keep popping up to profit from CL. My suggetion: talk to your AM. Best bet to not get screwed, but you still take the chance.

                      Sorry, mainly talking about people who put fake ads about products. Ie, I have a IPOD, then send them to another site. That's potentially illegal and a violation of Craigslist T&C. I would be concerned about possibly being a test case for Craigslist.

                  Yup they have to call hundreds of people. My callers call even if they do fill out the offer. We call everyone that signs up to my site. And my site isnt just an email and phone number. We get tons of information from the people.

                  The payouts I deal with pay over 20+. Right now I only have one offer but I can add more. Some offers can pay 30+ for single offer and $50-100 for a sale.

                    Your approach to using Craigslist is one of the smartest I've seen in AGES..

                    I see exactly what Pace Lattin is talking about though. 99.9% of people are going to put a fake product up and try to bait/switch the consumer.

                    I can tell you are using it as a legitimate traffic source ( purely whitehat ), and that is what most people fail to see about Craigslist.

    Best to stay away from CL when it comes to CPA as most offers don't allow it. However, if you feel comfortable with it, it's still always best to check with your AM.
