A newbie in Internet Marketing

Hello Warriors,

I am a totally newbie in the Internet Marketing world and I have now done enough research and would like to take action. I would like to know how easy it is to get registered with CPA networks like MaxBounty? Say if I have a blog in blogger for example, and have about 10 or so posts, would I be ok to get myself registered with MaxBounty and other CPA networks?

Your help will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Shan

I suggest doing a bit more research. This section here at WF is all about CPA and I know there is many posts that tell you how to give yourself the best chance at getting approved by CPA networks.

I would recommend avoiding blogger, or any free blog and opt to get your own domain and hosting. It will pay off in the end...trust me.

    Take care,

    Kevin

Well be honest and answer to one simple question do you really think a new blog with 10 posts will bring in enough traffic to get conversions ? i hope youe answer will be no , All cpa networks want from you is to have a proper plan about how you will drive traffic to them some traffic plan which is not too good to be true . Create a proper plan and than mention it in your cpa application and you will be approved without any difficulty but make sure your plan is not too good to be true .... They just need serious affiliates to join them who can drive reasonable traffic to their offer

      Hope this helps

Thanks KJ for your advice... I know that a free blog with just 10 posts will not bring in huge traffic but I am just like to have a blog to put it in the application and then I can explain them how will I drive traffic to their offers... Because I am not looking merely on web site traffic but rather social media marketing include FB, Twitter, Youtube, and even offline marketing... I know that most CPA networks are now fussy about new sign-ups and I know that there will be a sort of telephone interview and I think I can explain them how I can market their offers... I don't see any reason why they will reject me as I have legitimate reasons to join them and have poweful ways to generate traffic to their offers...

Hi Sharaf, you seem to have done your homework on driving traffic which is great. My advice is to be prepared for rejection by CPA networks. And if you do, ring them up and talk to them. The time difference makes it tricky but when I started, I used to stay up till 4am or so just to talk to the CPA networks.

Be upfront on your experience and expect rejections in either case. I know some networks that won't talk to you unless you can prove that you are spending $10K per month and that makes it hard for a newbie. Check out affiliatepaying.com for acomprehensive list, get in touch with some of the CPA network AM and owners here.

          All the best!

Thanks for your advice. Yes the time difference would be tricky. I am in Australia and most of the CPA's are in the US so obviously it will be a tricky part. I agree that they can reject you as I have seen a lot of people got rejected the first time. But the newbie have to start from somewhere right? Anyways, lets see how it goes

Thanks Kevin... Yes I will do more research here in the Warrior Forum... The reason why I am trying to get myself approved with having a blog in blogger is because I will be targetting different styles of marketing rather than a purely website traffic... For example I am looking advertising CPA offers using FB, Youtube, Twitter, and even offline marketing... Lets see how it goes... I just have the ideas at the moment and offcourse I need to take action fast which is a BIG thing...

If you're starting a blog solely with the idea of gaming a network into accepting your application, where they'll expect blog traffic from you but will end up getting something very different because your blog has zero traffic, potentially receiving traffic against the T&C of your affiliate account, you're going about your application all wrong. MaxBounty or otherwise. You're essentially lying about your traffic to get into a network and that's a horrible way to start building your online fortune.

Don't post on a message board that you want to try Facebook ads, youtube, street-corner hustling, whatever.... have that conversation with an affiliate manager from that network. "I'm new but I want to try buying Facebook ads for profit." (Every application gets you someone's contact info.) They'll tell you what's allowed, what's not, what you should be concerned about, etc.

For example, offline marketing often generates tons of leads from the same IP address, a headache for the network and cause for alarm for the end sponsor, so it's often not allowed... but you wouldn't know that unless you had that conversation with your affiliate manager. A network will look at your promised blog traffic, see all the same IPs, and ban your account without blinking... then you'll come the boards and complain.

    Hi Shan,

Welcome to the awesome world of online marketing, there is a ton of money to be made here, you just have to get yourself around

Applying to a CPA network should be easy but might take a bit of time until you get approved, but the real question is: why did you decide you want to work with a CPA network? why not a CPM or a CPC network? CPA networks can be great as long as you know you can convert their offers, but the easiest way to start making money off your site or blog is to sale the traffic from your ad space.

    Good luck!

      Hi MarimediaLtd,

I like your comment as you have opened my eyes for some other new stuff like CPM, CPC, etc. I will look into those as well. The main reason I've chosen CPA is because I think it is easy to convert. I am more interested into the program which usually uses 'email submit' or 'zip submit' kind of offers because in these cases it is more likely to get conversions rather than asking people to take out their credit card and type it in. You know what I mean? But now as you suggested CPM, CPC so I will look into those as well. Thanks

CPA network is an attractive option for earning money in internet, but unlike affiliate marketing, here you need to be registered first. The approval process is not tough as long as you have enough traffic in our site. So what is actually needed is to develop your site to attract huge traffic first and then to go for applying in CPA networks. Otherwise they may not hear that, you are new!

See man. I also understand your problem. You're probably wanting to use free sources of traffic like Social media because you do not want to splurge straight in the beginning. I totally get you. Even I don't use my website to generate traffic towards offers.

But the fact that you spent around 15-20 bucks for a domain and hosting brings in a sliver of credibility to your seriousness. Also a TLD domain name e-mail address looks more professional than a gmail. But I've used my gmail ID in several networks too. Its basically how good your plan is and how it sounds to the AM when you either talk to him or discuss over skype or e-mail.

I would say you buy a domain name anyway... it is pretty useful to have one... research a lil' more and you'll know why.

Thanks SiddFisher... Yes I probably have to watch my pockets as well ... As I am new to this world I was thinking to get started with something free and then I can invest as I move on... I will do some more research towards this anyway but in the same time I don't want myself to get overloaded with information as you can easily get in the WF

I see CPA as a great tool to use for a list that loves you. I have found it hard to get into most. I would assume that is a good thing. It means that they are working hard to preserve the gold mine that is CPA. I will be keeping tabs on this to see how you do. Hope it works out really well for you.

I got into MaxBounty purely by networking. I bought a WSO from a Warrior already approved by MaxBounty and was pretty much approved automatically as a result. This is probably not the norm, but I have been driving traffic from my Facebook page and making money ever since.

Great... Do you remember what WSO it was? So you mean you get accepted automatically? Is that what you mean?

    Hello honestbizpro,

Thanks for the wonderful comment... As you said, to choose lifestyle, well I would say I am not looking to get rich overnight as lot of the products out there tend to do like that... I believe in more real statistics where you setup your business and then grow it slowly... So basically I am an average kind of person and a full-time worker too so basically my IM would be a part-time thing just to get some extra cash for the bills ... Also, I have been researching for IM for quite sometime now and I am now reaching to information overload which you can easily get in the warrior forum... So now its time for me to actually stop reading a lot of stuff and take Action... Lets see how it goes...

    Cheers,
    Shan

I like this thread because fellow warriors are really sharing real world advice with you that is helpful.

It really does not matter what you have when going to the CPA networks it matters to them what you are going to do.

Some networks will even give you some training as needed or have content for you that will assist you. Your affiliate manager will also do his best to get you making cash because that makes the company cash as well.

Also I like the fact that someone asked you is that really the lifestyle you are looking for in your marketing.

Each day we have to do real actual steps in our business that is not always glorious and fun to do but the good new is that there are so many ways to acheive the results we want.

In the end..the smart marketer will have a system making him/her money while he does less work not more...but to get to that point we really have to bust our Aces. so to speak.

So as you begin just let us know if you hit a snag and we all we will be glad to help out best we can.

But first choose the lifestyle you think you prefer not just the sexy big numbers some marketers are hitting because we are not all made the same and have the same passion and patience and persistence for different daily activities that must be done.

The way I like to choose an income generator is assume I could get wipedout in a single day and how easy or hard would it be to bounce back or become immune to any google update or Goverment regulation or flavor of the day product launch.

Once you have a business that is really cranking out some serious cash and it can sustain itself for long term then you can ...or can not begin teaching others how you did it haha for even more income.

If I had a time machine and could go back and concentrate on one single aspect of marketing it would be listbuilding...because any and everything else could be included in that if you think about it.

Its a real asset and its economy and google proof.

OK my friend keep us posted on your progress.

      2 great things about marketing...

first is that there are so many methods you can make money with..for example webinars, product creation, video, services, offline etc, etc....

The next great thing is once you begin making money you begin making even more money.

The fact that you made a single dollar makes you more experienced than 80% of everyone else online and alot of them would pay you each another dollar to show them how you did it!

You created a simple blog that made only a few dollars in passive income while you were away at work?

      Guess what?

Now list that blog website for sale at Flippa.com and see how many bids you get from people looking for sites they can invest in and will pay you lump sum cash for that simple blog!

You could create a business on that strategy alone!

So when I menton lifestyle I really mean do you want to be the recognizable Guru Face Online or do you want to be behind the scenes. Either way you can still make a great living.

Some people want to be creating or hosting webinars some do not. Some want to be managing Virtual assistants in another country who keep their business making passive income and some do not.

So once you know what you are comfortable doing and not doing then you still find the smartest way to achieve the goals you are looking for within your budget.

      OK then keep us posted.

      Hello again

Ideally what I am looking into is to create something that is somewhat long lasting and give me consistent money every month. I am not looking into making tens and thousands of dollars, offcourse the more the better , but currently being a newbie I am looking into something that give me some return as well. The lifestyle I want is not to be a Guru Face thing since I don't know much about IM and I am sure there are enough Gurus out there, but yeah I am interested to remain behind the scenes as long as I am making money. So basically I need advice in setting up something consistent and can definately earn me some money. Also, I am certain that in the beggining I have to do a lot of work initially, but I am also looking on something that can be run as an autopilot thing in the future. What would you suggest?

      Regards,
      Shan

Write in your application some specific verticals, niches, I like financials because I also trade Forex and worked for an investment bank in the past so I feel comfortable and have some knowledge about the topic that I promote. This usually comes across to the reader or potential customer / sign-up. Some networks like Max Bounty, who are one of the most respected and well established have a good number of offers and their search function is excellent for you to find campaigns that you want to promote. I was at a friends birthday party when they called and on vacation so I stepped outside on to a balcony, and had to answer questions. However, I told them my strategies...SEO some PPV / PPC and not using Google for PPC, was quite specific, like email submits and they accepted me. Actually I like the fact that someone took the effort to call me. Do not be afraid to speak to someone. Too many networks are faceless, completely on line and it is difficult to assess whether they are good or bad. Eventually you will find a couple of niches that you like and become profitable, then simply ramp them up, as it is all about scale. The big boys just do a lot of it. Hope this assists and very best regards, Nick
