Facebok advertising question

Hello,

What payment model would you recommend for advertising on Facebook: pay-per-impressions or pay-per-click? Could anybody indicate a "standard" clickthru rate for the FB ads? Thank you.

If you're on a budget, then do CPC. Bid low until you find out what your average CTR is, then you can increase your bid for volume.

I always try and keep my CTR above 0.1%

It works both, you just need to split-test. I use payperclick so I can determine if an ad is good without paying a dime. 2,000 impressions with 0 click, I'll kill it. I also keep my ads not lower than 0.1 CTR, but they say 0.05 is good.

But it's not only about CTR, it's also about conversion. When I'm starting CPA marketing, I have a campaign that 3 ads are below 0.05 CTR, but conversion rate is 30%. It's a pay per impression model. It's a TW traffic so it's cheap.

If your just starting off, I'd start with CPC opposed to CPM to start, just to get your feet wet, then once you get used to it and can get a decent CTR then run with CPM
