What is the best approach to switch products to promote when trying out a new niche when using ppc. Do you just let the ad run for a few days, if not any sales, change the ad with a newproduct, if no sales here either, switch to another niche to promote?

I always try to see if the affiliate offers a free guide for e-mails so they can get preselled (if not setting up my own list)

Sincerely
Karl

It depends more on the payout of the offer, If you are testing an offer that pay $3 for example then it wont make sense to spend $100 on testing. for an offer with such payout I won't spend more than $10 on testing with PPC and max $20 with PPV, if the offer don't convert then switch it. You can use completely different offer or you can test same offer from another network.

With simple words I will test 3x the payout of the offer, if it don't convert then test another one. I mean here an offer with payout between $1-$20, I wont dedicate same budget for an offer which pay $400 for example.

P.S: Under time you need to monitor the keywords, if one keyword receive many clicks with no conversions then remove or pause it to be able to test the other keywords.

    Hope that helps.

I'm not 100% sure if i'm understanding properly.. but what I do is when starting a new campaign, i'll start by rotating a few different offers in the backend to see if they convert differently, then if 1 or 2 are successful, then take out the ones that are not and add different others to replace them

Agree with ChrisBa. I think its better to start rotating few offers and check the success rate. depending on the success rate you can decide, which one to run and which one should not be. But if the profit margin is higher for a campaign that seems unsuccessful for few days, I'll take a risk to go on with it. after all the business is all about taking risk.
