Hardly Make Money using Amazon Affiliate

I am trying hard to make some money using Amazon but it is not working well.
Guys/girls, any idea how to use Amazon to make money online? I find it hard to do so especially dealing with physical products such as products on Amazon.

I know that there are people making great income using Amazon but I tried, it is not working. I can't even get 1 visitor to buy things on Amazon. What happen?

How many visitors do you have to your site? Is it a review site or did you slap amazon products on an existing site?

We can't help you figure out your problem unless you give a little more details

No one makes money on Amazon.com unless the have a highly targeted website that has significant traffic. If you had a site that had tons of traffic about pet products, might be worth linking to pet products.

You need quite a bit of traffic but it can definitely be done.

It all depends on what kind of site you have and where you are getting your traffic.

  • Yes, high-traffic is definitely one huge driver of sales. Also, you can't just have a slap Amazon ads on your site everywhere kinda thing.

The key to a successful Amazon site is catching folks late in the buying cycle. If you understand the buying process, you can do very well even with mediocre traffic.

I do very, very well with Amazon because I have mastered several aspects of the trade: product selection, SEO, competition identification, buying cycle knowledge.

Target products that you understand and that are low-competition. If you provide good content, you will earn almost by accident.

I have around 300 page views per day. But how to get more targeted visitors and make more money online? It is very hard to get visitors to a site mainly for selling products.

Hi Wolfmmiii, can you share some idea? I am not making a single sales at all.

You should be earning very well with that traffic if it is targeted and the visitors are late in the "buying cycle". If either of those is not the case, you will see poor results.

I hate being "salesy" but my Long-Tail tutorial and my Amazon blueprint below provide an overview of how I address both of these issues more in depth than I can in a forum post. In them, I explain how I do my own product selection and how I lay my sites out for optimum conversions.

sdas86, when I started out with Amazon it was extremely frustrating. However, after the trial and error period, I found that targeting visitors in search of a specific color, size, limited edition, sku #, etc. of a product converted better.

    Ex. "Cuisinart red coffee maker"

You CAN make money with Amazon it just takes time:-)

Making your own is the way to go. That said, I do very well with Amazon (more than some people's full time jobs) and I only work 40 or so hours per month on my sites. I have no complaints about what they pay.
