What types of niches are good for content locking right now? I'm not asking for people to give me their full niches, just general categories?

I have a site that consistently does well by content locking some free software. You can really content lock anything if you angle it the right way, assuming it is important enough to your user.

Just sit down and think about whether or not the average person needs it bad enough that they would pay for it. If it's something people pay for, then definitely. If not, does it add enough value that they would complete a survey for it? Would you personally complete a survey for it?

Try to think about those things when choosing a niche to content lock.

You can lock almost everything If you know the correct method

Better Try locking Game Cheat Codes ..... Still not many competition !!

InternetJon is right on point. Your content has to have a high perceived value. People are only going to complete offers/surveys to unlock content they think is valuable. A good question to ask is what categories of content are people paying for now that can be locked. Movies and TV shows have traditionally done well - but can get you in trouble. So, look into games, fonts, software, ebooks... as mtmjohn suggest - get creative

In trouble can get you also games, software and ebooks, so in general try to be careful on what you're locking. To answer your question the best niche is movies and game cheats.
