2nd page submit? 1st page submit?

Hey guys, been wondering which type of offer should I promote.

Is there any different between promoting such offer?
I used to promote 2nd page submit which has a higher payout back when I just started, but I got blacklisted from some advertiser just because I didn't knew that the *asterisk must be included within your ad copy whenever you use the word free. Nobody mention that and I didn't aware of it.

So I'm now afraid to promote 2nd page submit offers.
Do you guys have any idea what are the difference between them?

  • It's not a generic rule in 2nd page submits as you think. You should read the guidelines and disallowed stuff for every particular offer and merchant you chose to promote.

I guess you're using MaxBounty. But anyway you can see those prohibited stuff and disallowed keywords (Like Trademark keywords or some free stuff keywords) at the offer details page. These prohibited stuff differ from an offer to another and sometimes they are restricted on some traffic sources.

So, it's ok to promote any offer you want if you followed it's guidlines.

Blacklisting is normal process and the merchant also can blacklist you if your leads are not profitable for him or whatever reason. And i think blacklisting is a good action instead of scrubbing your leads and lose your invested money if you're using paid traffic.

Anyway in my experience 1st page submits have better chances in conversion rates but they have always higher scrubbing rates.

    Hope that helps

If there is no warnings in the offer details, then it's ok

  • Hey Capt, is not that I didn't read the guidelines.
Is that they didn't mention it at all, not even on the offer page.
I knew that when I asked why am I blacklisted.

The conversation rate were base really well on your sales letter.
And you're right, I'm afraid of being blacklist and hence I got held back from continue my path.

Thanks alot man, your reply does seems bright me some.

  • I personally do prefer second page submits over email submits , Second page submit leads are more valuable and they do convert more for advertiser as compared to email submits, So on second page submits chances of scrubbing are very less

    • Hey KJ, thanks for your reply.

Yeah, you're right, 2nd page submit pays $1 extra than a 1st page submit.
I'm wondering if a visitor was interested in a certain offer, why would he submit his email and gone away.

But I'm too afraid of being blacklist though I did add the *asterisk this time.
  • 2nd page submit still rocks.

  • The terms and conditions are usually similar if not the same.. 1st pages are easier to convert and pay less, 2nd pages are a little more difficult and pay more.. that's the big difference

    • Yes, exactly, you didn't face that problem because you were promoting 2nd page submits, but because you were stating that the offers were free when, in fact, they weren't (just because the conversion occurs for you before a payment it doesn't necessarily mean that the service is free for the end-user).

You could face the exact same problem with 1st page submits.

The difference that Chris mentioned is correct, but saying which is better is impossible. It depends on the the offer as well as on the traffic source that you're using, there is not a general answer for your question.

  • Hey my friend did you read the guidelines or FAQ before submitting your page?
  • I think it depends on many things, what kind of traffic, social or paid traffic?
