Facebook Ads Rant

hi guys,
Just wanted to share my experiment with FB ads platform this past 5 days.

I was getting a CTR of 0.4% with one of my CPM Ads, for the first 2 days the ad had an optimized CPM of around 0.33$ (set by facebook) which was nice, in less than $6 i managed to get over 68+ clicks and 89 actions total!

Later i changed the ad to try something new, the CTR skyrocketed to 0.7%, still using the CPM way. However facebook decided to screw with me and increased the optimized CPM to $2.3! FFS!

I did not change anything, same target audience (US), etc. Only thing i changed was which post from my fanpage to promote, because i know my target audience and what they want. If the CPM stayed under $1 with CTR of 0.8% that its getting now, i would be a happy camper. But facebook loves to screw with small low budget people like me who spend weeks finding the perfect formula only to hit a roadblock. The ad is still good, avg $0.35 per click which is ok, if only facebook wouldn't change the CPM (by as much as 10 times) to get more money out of a performing ad. damn u facebook.
