CPA Networks + Offline Methods

Peerfly is not accepting any offline methods at this moment, I didn't know that. Are there any CPA networks that a newbie can get into that I can promote offline, flyers, signs?

Dang it, I waited 2 days and had a plan all ready this weekend. Back to the drawing board.

I was denied by MaxBounty btw as I'm new and I don't think I applied correctly. I don't understand PPC that well so I'm not going to waste my money at the moment.

Any college kid methods and/or CPA Networks offline that I can do?

I can't suggest this obviously, but I was doing a lot of offline when I was newer at all the networks I belonged to and never really had it be an issue. If the traffic converts, many times they won't care. With that said, there is risk involved because they can deny commissions.

Another option is to convert offline traffic to online traffic...send them to a squeeze or something...that bypasses the entire issue

Most networks will accept offline traffic, but the right away to do it is to send the surfer to your squeeze page, not just straight to the sponsor. Straight to the sponsor means you're not using pre-approved creatives.

So pass out the flyer, send them to my squeeze page. They get an email saying "go here for chance to win a free iPad 2." They enter their email or information... and then I'm golden?

Are these the exact steps? Am I missing any?

What if the offer says "No email".... but "SMS" is fine. So then I pass out the flyer, it has my squeeze page on it, and can I email them the number to text for the offer?

    Hmmmm....

To a certain extent, how you market your squeeze page is up to you, especially if you're sending the surfer to your own CONTENT FILLED website as a squeeze page and not just a blank page with a banner on it. You cannot be deceptive in any way, you cannot use porn, promises of incentives, etc. You don't want to your offline marketing to taint the end advertiser or network in any way. Will they be upset how you got the surfer to your site? Will they be suspicious of your intentions (both advertiser and surfers) if you just put a banner on a page? That should be your guide on what to do.

You’ve got a good idea with offline marketing but you’re thinking like newbie. Sending the surfer to a page that just has an email submit ad on it will give you quick but very limited cash, plus no long term prospects. High work – low return – no future. And if the advertiser doesn’t like your traffic quality, he’ll scale down your conversions and you’ll end up blaming the network. (Welcome to email submits!) A better approach is to pick a site theme with high paying advertisers like insurance, diets, mortgages, loans, whatever, and develop a real multi-page website with content a surfer might be interested in reading about. Review the various sponsors in that niche maybe. Offer a simple how-to guide. Imbed a video of your own creation. Post articles of relevant topics. Blog about the topic. Then liberally coat the site with approved ads that are mixed in with your content. Again, nothing deceptive. It’s all just general info.

For example. Your offline flyer says “Get a quick short term $500 loan. Go to THIS site”. Your site offers info on how to get a quick loan online, what lenders are generally consider for approval, maybe quote some laws of the various states, a guide on the costs on lending, a blurb about credit scoring, etc. Make sure the info is general, doesn’t make promises to the surfer and isn’t misleading or contrary to what your sponsors have on their website. Your site content is generalities, not specifics about a sponsor (unless you get approval for that). “…and I strongly recommend THIS sponsor for your quick loan needs.” <INSERT BANNER AS LINK>. Use multiple sponsors throughout the site so you don’t have all your eggs in one basket. Offer a newsletter option to the surfer which triggers a series of auto-responders with email ads matching the theme your site.

    Welcome to affiliate marketing!

    JP Suave,

Thank you so much. Could I start with a simple Wordpress Blog for something like this? For their free accounts, do they allow multi-pages? To upgrade it's $99.

So if I were to apply to a CPA network with a plan of using offline traffic which would be send to a squeeze page, they would accept me in their CPA network?

Because I read on this forum where some people recommended not to mention offline traffic methods to affliliate managers when appying to a CPA network. Now I`m confused....

btw, the AM says that my website cannot mention their offers if I promote offline. How do I get around it within their terms? Maybe I can have some content filled articles written just with a link saying "Click here for more information".

You should not advertise a campaign offline. I'm suggesting that you advertise your own website... and on this website, you have some campaign ads. I'm specifically not suggesting putting a single banner on an empty page and calling that your website. You need a full website, with content, and some ads mixed in.

The AM just got back to me and said "as long as you don't mention the offer on the flyer, its fine."

Therefore, I will leave the company and offer off the flyer and just get people interested in payday loans with the flyer. I'll then add a website (my own domain) and QR Code.

Payday loans go out mostly to ages 20-39 (average age 37) and these guys have iPhones and iPads. The people in that age group opening emails via the iPhone and iPads has almost overcome the amount of time they open emails from their computers...

So I'm thinking a flyer campaign to apartments near colleges and also possibly nightclubs. One way to find out.... SPLIT TEST!
