Each person may have different answers on this. But for me, what I am doing is spend $30 for each campaign. Each campaign has 10 images with 2 different ad copies, so a total of 20 ads on 1 campaign. Then I duplicate this campaign and run it on other demographics.

I always set $100 to test an offer on FB. If it doesn't have potential after $100 spent, I'll go with other offers.

^^^ this is a very good answer. I've ran on Facebook since 2007 and normally will start out testing each campaign with a budget ranging from $25 - $50 depending on the payout of the offer I'm promoting. Normally I'll have around 10 ads per campaign and see which creative yields the best CTR. Here are some things to take into consideration:
      • Optimal CTR: 0.11%-0.16%
      • Above Avg CTR: 0.07%-0.09%
      • Average CTR: 0.04%-0.05%
      • Below Avg CTR: 0.02%-0.03%
      • Poor CTR: 0.01%
So to answer the OP question, you can spend based on your budget, how the ROI is on your campaigns, and many other factors.

It also depends on the countries you are targeting. Most CPA offers are USA only and those clicks are around $.80 on Facebook. It's spendy. I haven't found profitable Lead campaigns on FB yet. I'm not trying to discourage you, just saying you need a good CPA offer.

    Blessings.

Better try running some international offers because it's cheaper and you decrease the risk of loosing too much money for testing purposes.
