How I Get Almost ANY Facebook Ad Approved

I've whipped up this awesome video showing exactly what I do to get almost any Facebook Ad approved. I figured this out not so long ago, and I've already got 30+ different ads approved and running on various pages.

Facebook is a beast, if you can tame it you'll make lots of $$$

The video is 15 minutes long, but its worth watching if you want to kill it with Facebook!

---------------------------------------------------------------------
(NOTE TO MODS)

I'm doing this with good intention. I've made sure that I do not link to my own website anywhere in this post (with the exception of the magic script).

I do no self promotion in my video.

I am doing this to help out other warriors. If I'm breaking any of the rules, please let me know.

The magic script in action...
http://jacoblot.com/facebook/index.html

------------------------------------------------------------------

Okay so here's the deal.

We aren't "tricking" facebook with this. You want to make sure you are always linking to the magic script so Facebook knows that you are redirecting out of their website.

Regardless of that, Facebook will love you. They will approve almost anything (I have yet to be disapproved), you will get more exposure (because you are advertising your FB page) and you'll get lower CPC (same as previous reason).

So take this and run with it. Use the traffic for affiliate offers, opt-in page, your own offer, anything! You want to go ahead and take action on this.

There are 900 million people on Facebook that are ripe and ready to be advertised to!

If I've helped you out, make sure you click the thanks button below!

Having a little trouble following all of this and why it works (what's an app?), but it has renewed my interest in using Facebook once again. Thank you so much, Jacob. I'll use this, and get started with an old Facebook course I have "hibernating" on my hard drive. Are you going to come out with a Facebook course, too?

Yeah, from far away this stuff might confuse a lot of people. I didn't explain everything in crazy detail mainly because that would make the video 1 hour long.

But if you just copy what I did, things should work out smooth whether you know what an app is or not.

        --EDIT--

Just noticed the FB course part.

I guess I might do one if the demand is there. I don't know if it's worth giving up all the profits I'm making off FB right now

Hey, Jacob, thanks for sharing this great info!

        A couple of questions:
        1. Will this mean we have to create a fan page (and a Facebook app) for each offer that we promote (affiliate offers, CPA offers, our own products, etc.)?
        2. How do you address the need for populating those FB fan pages with relevant content so it looks active and completely alive (therefore has huge value) to people hitting it from the ads we will be running?

I generally like to have one Fan page/niche. Then after that page I would have one app per offer (as you can have multiple page tabs per page).

You really don't need to populate your fan pages with any content (IMHO). You can if you want to make the extra sales, but remember, visitors get redirected right out of your fan page and to your affiliate offer.

What I generally do is leave one post on the fan page that links to an optin page. That way I can get some visitors on to a list which will allow me to sell to them more. The main goal for your fan page should be to build your list (again IMHO, I'm not great at fan pages, just advertising).

But it actually just redirect the app to the website that we want to promote, why facebook will love it more? Facebook Ads is reviewed by the real person, why they can' t see there are not different?

I really don't know, I'm trying to find out why this works so well.

My current theory is that Facebook preframes their approval team in a way that the approval team becomes much more lenient when an ad is linking internally to Facebook vs. whether an ad is linking to an external URL.

If this is such a great method and you are making so much money using it why can't you afford to make a video of the proper length to explain every step of the process? You went cheap on us. You rushed the last couple of steps. You left out a lot of info. Why do you treat your readers in such a shabby way? Use some of your money to buy the tools needed for the job.

I had to keep the video short so it can be put on YouTube.

I put the video on YouTube for exposure.

I have all the tools needed for the job.

I am trying to do a service for the community, and trying my best at that, don't see why you are being ungrateful? The video is complete and has all the information you need to be successful.

If you feel that some parts may be unclear, it is best that you implement and try your best to do this yourself. Money won't come easily, you'll have to work for it.

Lol, I'm sorry if I came off scolding, but I was just being "straight to the point".

I only care for others' success, and if I have to be very straight to the point to help others, than that is what I'll do.

This won't work as when the review team clicks the link they will end up on your blog which is an external site. You need to remove the redirection or in your case the magic script while your advert is being approved. Once approved you need to add the redirection.

There is a much more simpler way involving prosper202 and cloaking.

We are not trying to cloak at all. We want the review team to see that we are redirecting out of the fan page. This is the correct way to do business, with transparency.

So your thread title is incorrect then. If you wanted to direct them to a CPA offer why wouldn't you just link directly to your site rather than going through an app/fanpage and then a redirect? If you do your method and a reviewer doesn't like the end content then it won't be approved in the same way if I direct link to your blog without misleading people though a *magic redirect*.

It makes no difference to facebook whether you redirect them from your fan page or direct link them. The issue is the end content and in your example your providing a basic example which obviously would get approved but try other offers and your method won't work.

I can only assume the point your making is that the people clicking your ads are going to see its a facebook page so they are more inclined to click the ad.

You raise good points, and I haven't figured this out that long ago so I can't speak from any insane wisdom, but I'll tell you this:

The magic redirect makes a difference. The exact same ads that I had disapproved when direct linking got approved when I sent them through this method.

I also see better overall results from running ads in this fashion. I won't explain all of them here because I'm busy at the moment, but you can catch some of the reasons why I think this is better on this post.

My suggestion is that you test this out yourself and look at the results vs. direct linking. Without a doubt you will see a better overall ROI.

Not really sure what info he left out of the video. He explained everything and showed you how to do it. If you feel rushed then just hit the pause button until you are ready for the next step. I would not call explaining 5-6 steps in 15 minutes "rushing", especially when it is free information.

I think you did a great job of explaining everything and showing us what to do

I'm testing it now to see if my ads achieve better results than just linking to the site directly - I'm hoping so!

      Hi Jacob,

when I first watched the video, I thought what some of the guys here seem to have thought - that it was quick and perhaps missing in places.

But I went through it again, and implemented as I went along. All the information that you need is there. Had to look really closely at times though lol. So I have an Ad running using this new system immediately. For me, I'm following your thinking about getting cheaper ads. So I have a brightly colored Ad, I have a catchy pic, I have the redirect to FB page and I have bid a couple of cents short of the max range.

I await with baited breath !! Jacob, any thoughts on how quickly I might see cheaper clicks coming through?

Also, my FB page is a bit crap, as I'm new to them and I'm sure my design is less than average. Might have to tart it up a bit. Anyone know how to install a pic on the FB Page TABS?

      All the best pal,
      Paul

        Jacob,

When you say "Almost ANY Facebook Ad" you give the impression that the magic of this script is that you can get away with ads that FB would otherwise dissapprove. Well, I tried the script with a WSO since I was told that FB actually sees the WF as a social community and that they are approving ads to WSO's. Well mine was declined several times. I tried different images, changing the page title, changing the text to take out anything that might suggest 'make money online', but the moment I submit the ad it gets dissapproved right away, and I feel the problem is the redirect and the landing page.

This was the last ad I tried, with an image of the wso author:

        the target url: http://viralapphq.com/authoritysite/index.html

Should I have made a fresh campaign maybe in stead of editing ads in the existing one? Anyway the magic is not in the redirect script because they still dissapprove the ads they feel are against TOS.

Definitely submit it in a new campaign. That always works for me.

"magic is not in the redirect script"

Yeah, at this point I've also had 20 or so ads disapproved, BUT, I can still assure you that the approval team is much more lenient when done this way.

Facebook really dislikes the "X person makes X amount of money" approach, so if the sales letter has got that then FB will hate it no matter what.

But yeah, other than that, keep on with this as approvals come a lot easier. If your ad is disapproved once, don't try and get it approved again in the same campaign. I found that to be near impossible.

          Hi kyraline,

I have couple of suggestions for you to check and test.

          1) Avoid "make money online" niche. - I think Fb don't normally approve them. Test with any other niche.

          2) Depending on your geographic location find out the clock hours difference with Indian working hours and try to post your ads during the normal India working time.

I have a feeling this exercise of approval is outsourced to India and the approval team is guided by a set of standard rules and regulations to follow...sometime you might get away with a "naughty" ad if you're lucky

Would love to see an update from you if you want to test further..

Clicks will cost you about how much FB tells you they will cost you. There is no hard number as CPCs depend on many different factors...

        targeting
        CTR
        bid

        the list goes on...

So click cost is something you can't predict until the clicks actually start rolling in.

      Buddy,

You need to read the facebook advertising guidelines thoroughly.

      1) You are using "make money niche"

      2) Your landing page goes to a form to gather name and email of users.

From what I've heard you almost have to submit during different times in order to get your ad through.

I just tested another ad & lander that mentions nothing about making money online. I'm curious to see if it is accepted.
Interesting..how that ad can be approved.

Yeah I guess the time zone when the ad is submitted for approval seem to be a factor too.

okay my ad got approved, i ran for 2 days spending about $80 using this step as well as the 2 steps involved in your other 2 thread, all combined towards the end of the second day my cpc was at a very low $0.16 but then suddenly my ad got dissapproved, it had already recieved over 290 clicks and 200k impressions!

any reason as to why this happend?

i was promoting a dating offer using the magic script on my related dating fb page.

Seems you're running into the same thing i'm running into. It's hard to advertise in those niches.

My ads keep getting disapproved as well. I even had some approved in the money making niche and then they got disapproved once others were dissapproved.

Maybe your facebook page should be the name of the offer as stated in Facebooks terms of service. That way you can still follow the video posted above, but stay in line with facebook. Maybe try that?
        hmm thank you mate

First off, congratulations on the success. Trust me, that is pretty awesome.

Now about your problem: This is the usual "FB pain in the butt" action going on.

I was actually coincidentally discussing this on a recent webinar.

Every time you hit milestones with your ads, they get "re-reviewed". And for whatever reason, every review gets stricter and stricter...

So when you hit the $50/day spend on your campaign, FB reviews your ad.

Then when you hit $200/day your ad gets reviewed.

Then at $1000/day... and so on. I don't know the exact numbers, but that is the usual trend.

Now to make anything last long-term on FB, its a given that you have to be SUPER-DUPER compliant.

That means throwing in all TOS, policies and legal pages on your lander. Making sure it isn't a full direct response one purpose type page (try and sneak in some content and stuff).

Make sure there is a company header etc.

Now in the dating lander case, if you are an affiliate, it might be a bit hard running this through any longer (which is why I love running traffic to my own stuff, full control )

You can try putting up your own lander as a "pre-sell" but that would be best. Conversely, you can "start over" and re-run this ad on a new FB campaign, and hope that it lasts longer than 290 clicks.

That's the best advice I can give at the moment.

This method is by no means bullet proof. I've also had 4 sets of ads disapproved since I recorded this video. Now that is obviously small compared to how much traffic running through the account, but another huge difference is that I'm not an affiliate. FB likes me generally more because of that specifically

Anyways, I still recommend this for long term stuff that you already know works. It reduces costs a bit and adds a bit of a viral effect (that I won't complain on getting

I haven't read all of your posts, but let me shed some light on this.

"X person makes X amount of money in X amount of time" is a HUGE no-no on FB. I've talked to some of my students and this problem keeps on coming up. So we know that this is one thing that will never work on FB.

So you'll need to switch up your lander.

Jacob Lot, have you ran into this?
You'll need an SSL installed on your server (the whole https:// thing revolves around that).

You can get one for about $2/year or $2/month or something like that from HostGator. NameCheap has got some pretty cheap ones as well (~$8/year)

Its worth getting for this method alone.

      Hope that helps!

Yes, the index file is all you need.

Open the index file in a text editor and you should see the same text from within the video.

I'll be honest, nowadays CPA has a lot more potential on FB, but Clickbank offers have always worked for me personally (I hear a lot of other people complaining though, so I don't speak for everyone).

The trick is using a html app. when submitting the ad, put a simple and non promotional video or material. after its accepted, edit the code from the back end using a redirect link to your desired landing page.

Downside is , when you are investing heavily someone will report your ad , your account will be banned, no question asked.

You need to be really good at it. I have already developed a fool proof script to get my every ad approved (( even Adult Ads on FB )) .

First off, congrats on the 0.01 CPC.

Yeah, I noticed that once you start reaching big numbers, Facebook ups the "scrutiny". Oh well it's Facebook, they play by their own rules and we really can't do much about it

I used to advertise on fb a lot, but not that much lately since costs went up...I was advertising mainly external sites/lp's for about 3 years. I'm planning to try this strategy cause from my experience I know that the cost of advertising is much lower when you are linking to a fb page or app. I was just lazy to do it and rather was split testing expensive ads to external sites.

If you guys think about it, you don't have to redirect people outside of fb... Think out of the box.

I.E. what I'm planning to do now is... Instead of linking to an external presale lp or squeeze page, I will link to an facebook tab/app which is actually the same landing page, just inside the facebook app now... That way I'll get the cheaper clicks. And if someone clicks like and doesn't get to the tab/app, I'll make a post to make sure everyone sees it and gets there (sooner or later). Mixing it with sponsored stories could do wonders as well. Definitely worth trying, especially b/c the price goes down rapidly when you send visitors to a fb page instead of to a external website.

Ohh and I suggest you build email lists this way and to aim for broad markets .

I'll give you one more tip... and this one is pure GOLD.
With this one method you can build 3 types of lists at the SAME time! Facebook list (page), Email list, Retargeting list.

Imagine sending 30-50 year old women interested in weight loss to a fb app and placing cookies for later retargeting... Since they clicked the ad, they are already interested and you can market to them over the whole web for pretty cheap .

Smart ones will use this info!

    Cheers

Thanks, Jacob. This was not stressed much, but I'll add that your hosting that hosts the magic script must have a security certificate for this to work. That to make the "https: . . ." part work. Facebook's rules.
