Does anyone know where InfoLinks.com keep their 'Optimize Keywords Tool'?

They promote it in their emails and on their website but even their own support don't know where it is?
#ad networks (cpm/cpl, display) #infolinks #keywords #optimize #tool
  • LOL , they are just mailing about tool something they don't have...

  • I can't find it either. I don't really think they have one. It may be in the works I guess..

    • I have since found out that info links use looksmart.com as their ad platform, i.e infolinks do not have their own ad network, they white label looksmart but if you go direct to looksmart you will get à key word tool and possibly cheaper CPC.

  • You can optimize your campaigns by setting Rotation Scheme to CPA Rotation while promoting offers that converts per lead.

To be able to get this option working fine you need to setup a conversion tag and place it at the CPA network callback code area.

    You can find it under:
    Accounts >> Conversion Tag

Activating this option will make your best ad copies appear on the network.

To see which keyword have converted you need to create a conversion report for keywords and you can find that under:
    Reports >> Create Reports
Select Conversion Events and Keyword then the campaign you want to check.

You can also optimize your keywords by using a third party tracking software as P202.

    Hope that helps

    • Did you post this to wrong thread?: The question related specifically to infolinks and their (lack of) a key word tool.

  • Yes, it's in-text advertising by the way and the traffic don't come from looksmart. Infolinks traffic is way much better in quality than looksmart traffic IMO.

They have tons of publishers with high quality websites and blogs.

    • I'm not vouching for the traffic but they use look smart, they don't have their own ad net work, simple as. I have it straight from the horses mouth as it were, they white label look smart.

  • Registered on Looksmart. The advertiser dashboard is identical to Infolinks. Even the FAQ is the same. Now it makes sense: when i was browsing the Infolinks FAQ a while ago, they kept on mentioning users searching for keywords, which didn't make sense to me since Infolinks isn't a search engine. Nooow i see: they just took the entire Looksmart FAQ.

But does Infolinks actually get its traffic from Looksmart or do they have separate traffic sources?

    • I am not sure 100% on that, they certainly use look smart traffic resources, other wise there would be no need to white label, but whether infolinks gets to keep the sites they introduce totally to themselves I'm not sure.

  • I believe bid4keywords is part of this mix, also an identical interface to infolinks.

The optimize keywords tool was only available to me during campaign creation, not when editing keywords after the fact.

I didn't find it useful. It simply set one bid for all of my keywords, and it was over $2 per click. I set it back to 15 cents per click. It took 2 months to spend $50, and I got one conversion for $25.50. I did limit my campaign to Canadian traffic.

That is my only experience with infolinks. Might be worth trying again, but I find my money is better spent with 7Search.
