Re should I fine tune or forget it?

Hi, I'm learning the in and outs of paid traffic using POF. I've run half a dozen products from RAP ( I need fast income in the PP account, networks have that slow 4-6 week first step before I could receive funds) on Plenty of Fish and have identified a well known diet product that gets a better reaction than any other item I'm trying, about 76 click throughs per 100,000 impressions, so far no sales.
My question is would one try to improve this or simply drop it as not being a strong enough interest, and look for products from other instant pay networks? I don't think RAP has any much better than this item.
My targeting is about as strong as I can get it, ie best and most motivated market ie california/LA , over weight, non smokers/drinkers. Ads are posted on the weekends and bids at .45 cents.
If one were to persist would the best next step be to try a string of different ad images and text?

Any hot tips about any other RAPs that might work with POF? I have zero sales in all of this and am looking for my confidence building proof that it works.

    Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but...

    I don't see POF (an online dating site) as the right venue for advertising a weight-loss product.

    That's just my "gut" feel, but I also don't think that you've had enough click-thrus to determine whether your ad is a good fit for the audience. I don't know what kind of sales conversion you expected, but delay your decision until after you've had a couple hundred click-thrus.

    I also can't help but wonder why you feel that the L.A/California market or the non-smokers/drinkers are a more targeted audience for you. I don't think that obesity is confined to those markets, at all.

    I would either 1) look for another venue for advertising that product, or 2) switch to a product that is more likely to be of interest to the online dating scene.

    The logic was that los angeles/california is a fitness and appearance motivated group, ie about being looking good when dating. The non smoking/drinking was similar about motivation, I figured that folks that drink or smoke higher than average aren't likely to care about being overweight either, where folks that don't drink/smoke at all might be.
    The product has a healthy/active angle to its promotion when compared to more mainstream products.
    I tried products directly connected to dating, which are supposedly hot must haves, such as Get Your Ex back, these drew only low interest, with the terms set to nation wide and wide open.

  • Fitness and weight loss is PERFECT for pof.

    Think about it, if you're fat and out of shape, do you think you're going to get any action on those sites? POF is a hook up site, not a relationship site. There's so many angles you could go with that.

    I say go for it and come up with some good solid angles to test.
