Conversion rate on POF

I have recently tried campaigns on POF. I have gotten CTR,s as low as 0.022% and as high as 0.049%. on 100'000 impressions .No sales on any of them. Could someone tell me what a good conversion rate is on POF.. This would really help to let me know whether to continue a campaign or not.Any advise would be appreciated.. Thanks Perry

    Whats your offer?

The sales copy might be bad.

    What was the total CTR?

The offer was for text you ex back.Pretty good copy. Clickbank product. I got 113 clicks on 266,000 impressions which is a 0.042 CTR. I am just wondering whether this is a good ctr for POF,If not what is a good CTR to be getting before you continue to advertise. Thanks Perry

Don't get caught up in arbitrary CTR numbers. You simply have to make the economics work for you. I have campaigns with CTRs from 0.045 - 0.210 making me money, but my CPM bids will change depending on the campaign targeting.

Treat it for what it is - a campaign, not a one day battle. Use sites like Quantcast to do some research on the demos that visit the site you're pitching. Then create a profile on POF for that demo and see what ads are being shown to you. Take some inspiration from the headlines, images and ad copy. Run a 40 ads yourself and keep the top 25% of CTRs. Expect to lose some money in order to get some data in return. Then upload some more images and headlines and continue to keep the best performers. That's a start.

But if you're new to this, I'd recommend starting out with promoting some dating offers for an affiliate network. They are much easier to convert (113 clicks to a Clickbank page is nowhere near enough of a sample size; it's absolutely not surprising that there's no conversions) and will give you a good testing ground. Once you're familiar with the ridiculous number of levers and pulleys at POF, you'll feel more confident having a go at Clickbank offers.

It really depends on what you are promoting, what type of offers were you using?

Same experiences here, tried Dating and Diet CPA offers.. Very low CTR
few clicks, no conversions. Even Free sign ups doesn't work.
I'm done with POF, waste of time and money IMHO.

On Plenty of Fish dating seems to work the best, and simple lead gen offers.

Offers with long sales pages, and high costs to consumers tend to crash and burn.

People are on POF to look at hot girls/guys, and message people. They aren't ready to read a lengthly sales generally.

Go create a POF account for yourself and see what ads keep popping up. This is a good way to get a general idea of what works.
