Since Prosper202 and Bevo are free why don't you try those out first to see if they suit your needs?

I have and use CPVlab and also pay extra for VPS hosting at BeyondHosting. It can track some pretty complicated sales funnels but if you don't need the functionality I would save money and use the free stuff.

I believe you read that free hosting will lead to slow loading times.
Ex. putting p202 on a shared or free hosting....

bevomedia free platform is what i've been using for all campaigns. I haven't ran into slow loading times.
There running on amazon servers.

So Bevo is free all the way, while as I understand I need a VPS hosting for CPV Lab which would be an additional cost to the $297.

Any advice considering all this facts?

There shouldnt be any problem with load time on Bevo. Regardless of how much volume is being sent. We are set up on amazon EC2 servers, and are setup to handle unlimited volume. If there is an instance where you experience slow load time, please let me know and I will have the programmers look into it.

FREE Stuff is no solution at all tracking your traffic is a very important when it comes to affiliate marketing or you can say it is the backbone of your campaigns and you can`t really compromise on tracking if you are serious in business. As per your requirements i`d suggest CPV LAB .... Do check out Tracking your Traffic | KJ Rocker

bevo is the best platform Ive ever used.I haven't had any issues with stats.
But its all about tracking and what type of data you can work with.

  Great platform so far, just started running mobile traffic to my bevo tracking url and they are redirecting quick

CPV Lab... all the way. But... it does have a lot of features that I don't even use in it. But they are there if I ever decide to.

My reasons for CPV Lab are:

1) It seems to redirect faster... or always has for me.
2) The interface just makes sense. The interface, and how it acts... are just worlds apart from prosper. Prospers interface always felt clumsy to me.

I also second the BeyondHosting.net that HowWhoWhen mentioned. They have always been lightning fast for me.

But if your just getting into CPA, and the funds are low. You can use things like Prosper. Not like it hasn't been around forever.

Just don't skimp on the hosting. If you setup on a shared host and send traffic... your wasting money.

My favorite for tracking is p202. You can set it up under one hour for cost of $30 on a VPS. If you feel like it's too much, I can do it for you for additional $10. Contact me if you're interested.

  There is an option for "Dedicated IP" when going through the steps in Beyond hosting. Is this important when hosting CPV Lab?
  
  Also I wonder about my sites that I want to track, my guess is that I don't need to host them in the same domain where I have CPV Lab, right? I mean I use Hostgator for all of my sites, but they could stay where they are I hope.

and here is answer to your question

The hybrid (Starter Package ) can handle up to 50K visitors in a day.
The VPS1024 can handle up to 100K visitors in a day.
The VPS2048 can handle up to 200K visitors in a day.

SO at start starter will be enough for you

I've been in the industry with Tracking202 and Prosper202 for many many years, and based on numerous support tickets and interactions with my user base. I can say without doubt that 99% of affiliates would be much better off using a hosted Tracking solution.

I don't care if you use Bevo Media, Improvely, Mobaff Tracker (for mobile).

We (talking about all the solution providers I mentioned above) can:

please bro i make 5 figures a month, i would never EVER use a hosted tracking platform. i can never trust allowing you access to see MY data, which is proprietary to me only. and some companies here who have their own hosted tracking solution on here such as Improvely and others publically state they run their own affiliate offers using their software. Like really you want me to put my offers on your tracking solution and you also use it to run your own offers?, and uhh you expect me to just "trust" you with my data which you can easily look at and then you can see how exactly i make ALL my money including offers, landing pages, keywords etc.? lol sorry but that will NEVER happen. i have my own dedicated server, i currently use cpvlab and im confident the data is safe and secure, thank you very much. and im sure any other affiliate out there like me who actually makes a living online will say the SAME exact thing. sorry dude but you're just flat out WRONG.

I understand your concerns about your campaigns being stolen, since it's something that can happen, and from looking at your past posts it's probably happened to you.

The Tracking202 hosted service has been available since 2007. We've built up a lot of trust and good will in the community and it's not something I'm willing to throw away by "stealing" a campaign.

At this point, apart from me, the only other person who has permission access to the database is Wes (Original founder of Tracking202). He's been long gone from the "affiliate" space for a while now. I consult with him every once in a while for technical reasons. Notice I said "permission" because if you went up to him right now he wouldn't be able to login to the database.

As for me, I'm not an active affiliate in the traditional sense. Mainly because many years ago I felt that the majority of the offers out there were not anything I'd want to be associated with. I recently blogged about it here: Come On! Is This Industry That Thoughtless and Short-Sighted?

The only affiliate programs I'm active in are the ones for the partners I've found and recommend to the 202 user base (e.g BeyondHosting, Adbeat, STM forum etc)

I have over 12-13 of online marketing experience and even more as a software developer, so as long as it's not a scammy offer being promoted, I will occasionally consult with friends and clients of the hosted Tracking202 on technical and marketing related issues.

For example I recently helped someone take a site making $0 to almost $1000 last month and this month is going to be bigger. This is all hands free income and with just a little more effort it can do 5-10x that number very quickly.

So in a nutshell, I'm saying that in addition to knowing that your campaigns are safe when you host on a Tracking202 ClickServer, I can also add that there is an additional value added component where I will occasionally partner with clients to grow their revenue even more by tapping into my years of marketing and technical knowledge and experience.

This advice makes a lot of sense to me. I'm looking at trackers and I CAN'T for the life of me understand why so many say that prosper202 is free, compared to say the full featured version of Linktrackr that costs $39/month when you need to buy a VPS server that costs at least $45/month. If you go cheap on the server you'll cause problems. And they never factor in the added cost of the responsibility of maintaining your server. When you're buying hosted tracking you're paying for someone else to be responsible for a range of server management stuff like uptime/downtime, security etc etc. Stuff you'll have to deal with if you self host.

I don't want to deal with that stuff. So why don't people factor those costs in? I can't understand how some affiliates think.

Use prosper202. Not only is it a great program, it's also free. Furthermore it has a lot of help videos. Just work your way through them with a couple of campaigns that you can use as examples so that you can follow along.

Nana could not have said it any better. The benefits for self hosted, especially for beginner affiliates, are essentially non existent. It's much more worth the time for a beginner to outsource the technical stuff and worry about marketing. When you start killing a campaign, then you can start worrying about setting up self hosted, etc.

From our angle, support on self hosted is significantly harder, and is almost always a result of an improperly setup server, causing headaches for everyone.

Prosper202 works great for me. The only disappointment is there's no geo-lookup built in.

If you're making $$$$ from affiliate ads then buy a better system, but when you're starting out them Prosper is OK.

Great Discussion ongoing.. I like Bevo media as their interface looks good and also their montly fee is $19.99, which far cheap than even P202 hosted solution.

I've found that applies to clients too. I'm currently running a limited test with a low end pricing option that starts at $45 a month.

But in general, the Tracking202 ClickServer is now priced at a premium because it's a premium service.

I personally work with and support every single one of my ClickServer clients, so I'd rather work with a smaller handful of businesses that want to work with a marketing and technology partner that can reliably help them to grow their businesses.

Once my test is done, a Tracking202 ClickServer starts at a minimum of $19 a day ($570 a month). So this is not for beginner affiliates, people who sign up are usually spending more than the ClickServer service fee on media every hour.

The good news is that there are other alternatives such as the free Prosper202/ Paid BeyondHosting combo (Because they will support you and I help them out on difficult support issues so it's almost like working directly with me. If you are not with a host like BH and aren't technical then switch to BH or don't use Prosper202 and switch to one of the companies listed here that provide support ->) Bevo, Improvely, CPVLab etc.

I have recently started using CPVlab after being on p202 for a while. I'm not here to compare the two, but would like to add it pays to pay for a good tracking solution - don't look to save on it, for it can in all probability more than pay you back by your improved conversions. Even something as added 5% (my estimation of your standard conversion loss to your cpa network due to improper tracking) goes a long way to your overall earnings.

Wow! I'm a little overwhelm by the technical potential if just the tracking and the cost ?!?!?

So, for someone starting out at this with very little budget which is the best choice?

I'd tried to install prosper 202 onto my godaddy hosting account and it simply fails. So, is Bevo tracking a good alternative? I admit upfront I don't understand or know much about all of this yet but eager to come to learn and become knowledge at this....
