First off, do you agree that CPA offers in general are popular because the visitor does not even have to buy anything for the affiliate to receive a commission. I would think that's the appeal of it, I'd feel more confident promoting this than something that users have to pay for.

--------------------

I use CPALead and as far as I can see they only offer ads which annoy visitors of your website - content lockers, some sketchy pop up ad that begs you to stay on the page if you try and exit, surveys, etc. Is there something missing here - you would have to send your website URL to some very, very bored people to make money with CPALead. Is this right?

---------------------

if you have any suggestions to people who are new to CPA please share.

I guess those annoyances like content locking are what defines incentivized ads. But the other end of the spectrum (banner ads, text links etc) are said to be ineffective.

    MN Warrior,

Hey! My name is Willie and I am one of the account managers at CPAlead. I would like to say that CPAlead is absolutely worth it! I understand that some users maybe annoyed with the content locker. However, it is a win-win for both the publisher and the user.

Bar none, we provide the absolute best offers to our publishers. We have relationships with advertisers that others in our space have never heard of AND we deliver.

We encourage people to give us a try. We want nothing but the best for our publishers and advertisers.

Its natural for you to have a bias since you're with the company - you're doing your job and I respect that.

Anyone else wanna chime in on this... I think most visitors to a website would be too annoyed to go through with the survey / interaction to ever come back.

Yes you are very right they do get annoyed and these type of leads are basically one hit wonder leads. You get them once don't expect them again from what I have noticed.

If you have something they really want to get ahold of (like a facebook app that shows them who the last 10 people to view their profile and in order to see the people they had to fill out a survey) then yes that would have higher conversion rates then just putting a locker up to block a pdf file. Its like products...

Pdf's are the lowest in the product market but can still be valuable. The most valuable is software which sells the best and has higher conversions. Just like content locking!

I appreciate the respect. I am partial to CPAlead, yes because I am with the company but most importantly I believe in our product. If you are with CPAlead let me know your pubid# and I will send you some love. If you not a publisher yet, I encourage you to become one.

Cpalead is worth it if A) you have the right offer to give for free and B) you can target and attract the right audiance.

One example I can give you is that I set up a locker with a giveaway and had about $100 in my account within 24 hours with very minimal effort.

I say its all about arbitrage in some niches and for me arbitrage seems to work best for this niche. If you have a software that you can giveaway and you know their is a market for it then hide it on a page with a locker and make 50-100 videos and put them on youtubr. Youtube alone can make you thousands of dallars per month with cpalead.

Think outside the box... That's where the $$ is.

I see most incentivized offers seems to play around with the publishers because they are not describing their offers that when it is completed.

For example: Incentivized Download .....blah! ....... blah!............ (US).

There nothing that publishers know beside download, but their hidden sign up, comfirm, download, install, and play etc. There are more to do with just aprox. $0.5.

Therefore, it leads to man scrubbing because publishers do not how to describe their offers to their visitors. Thanks!
