looking to start media buying

I'm interested in starting my first media buying, ad space, but don't know where to start. there's adbrite, buysellads, buyads, direct site, but not sure since I feel overwhelmed. I already have my squeeze page set up. My budget is under 50 bucks a week, but I don't know how many unique visitors a month i should look for or amount of impressions. It's for diet/weight loss niche btw.

Thats a rather low budget. Media buying is very tricky.

Id take a look at this..
    X*1000*.002*.05 = max CPM

Where X is your offer payout. If you are new to media buying, I likely would not spend more than that CPM. The numbers are safe averages for banner spots and an assumed 5% conversion rate.

Also consider that 1000*.002 = 2, your average amount of visitors per 1000 impressions. Media buys are often very expensive clicks!

I would say hold off on media buying until you get a much larger budget.

go with sitescout and raise your budget

Even try to get lucky with a nice return from a PPC campaign in adcenter. Reinvest that money to make more campaigns and earn more. Keep reinvesting until you have 10 successful campaigns all earning $100 per day. then start scaling and make more

Do you have any previous experience with other traffic sources? Honestly I'd start off with a different traffic source then slowly move up to media buys

A key factor in media buying is testing.

Track all your campaigns, tweak and test further, drop the ones that don't work and invest in the ones that do.
