Best NON-Google Ad Network For CPM?

Hi there, I have a U.S. defense news website (The Intelligence News | Defense News | Iran News | Syria News is anyone is interested). I get about 100k-110k uniques per month.

My site is a news aggregator and as such I cannot use Adsense :-(

I was wondering what you guys thought was the best ad network that pays Cost Per Thousand other than adsense? There are literally thousands listed in the master list, it would be really helpful if that list was broken up into CPM vs. CPC and maybe even who has best rates...

    I dont really like adsense type of sites. imo they are a waste of time if you dont know what you are doing but i have had friends tell me that adBrite Exchange is a fairly decent network to work with.

  • Thanks for the suggestions all. I didnt realize how ridiculous the ad rates are on some of these networks! .20 per thousand??? So for a site with 200k visitors, they pay $40 per month?? Thats just laughable.

    If anyone could suggest a network, other than AdSense, that pays a non-insulting rate, please let me know!

    • It is hard to find.

      I suggest looking into running CPA Offer, or Amazon. If you know what you are doing you can make more than Adsense.

  • AdBrite is very good. Tribal Fusion too, but it's tough to be accepted in their program.
    You also have the alternative to sell ad blocks directly, which is still the most interesting method.
  • I would suggest setting up DFP and start selling ad space on your site. Hit up buy/sell ads or media buy networks. You can try out sitescout for a smaller alternative to major ones like rubicon etc.
