My First POF Success!

Hey guys its been a while since I posted on the Warriorforum, but I have always been reading the posts!

Just wanted to let everyone know that I have finally found a BIT (emphasis on A BIT) of success on POF!

I was losing money for a long time on POF, but after tweaking some campaigns a bit with the help Greedy, I went from losing money to breaking even yesterday. Then today I made a profit of $10

This is exciting news for me as I lost over $1000 on CPA marketing in the past with mobile marketing, FB etc..

I seriously need to give a BIG SHOUT OUT to Greedy as she has helped me a LOT. Seriously guys, if you are not on her blog, you should definitely sign up because the content is super helpful for noobs like me!

Just the landing page that she posted for dating offers is giving me a 20+% conversion rate! (I don't know if this is good actually, but I am still very happy)

Just wanted to let all the newbies out there know that you should just keep plugging away until you get it! But be sure to do your research first or you will lose big $$$$$.

I am still in the hole in terms of money for POF all together, but I can see the light at the tunnel!

      I was reading POF advertisement rules and now they are not allowing Free and Adult dating sites to advertise. Does it mean we will not be able to advertise those dating sites who pay for each sign up as these will be free account creation? or this rules applies only to those dating websites which are totally free means not any paid subscriptions after free sign up?

  • Hey I'm just researching ppc and cpa advertising. From what I can see greedy's site is there to help educate you on the best methods to promote pof on networks such as facebook / adwords

    Am I correct?

    If so I can't seem to find an affiliate scheme on pof

    • When people talk about Plenty of Fish they are referring to its advertising network.

      There isn't any Plenty of Fish dating offers, I can see how it could be confusing.

    Are you tracking your clicks and conversions with POF via prosper?...If not then look into that...as you will begin to see what is happening with your ads ...

    ...also...play around more with POF's targeting feature and focus in more on your target audience..

    ...I'm gonna assume that you're sending your clicks to another dating offer from POF....as those offers tend to convert better.

    ...try also targeting women, smokers, christians..etc....and set up separate campaigns for each of those...also turn off android/iphone browser types...

  • Am I correct when saying ads that are working don't last too long on POF? I was running some ads for a while and was getting some good conversions, now the same ads dont bring any conversions.

    and can anyone explain to me how to import subids to prosper? My tracking is completely wrong. I have only been trying to get clicks on my ads!

  • Just to point out something greedy mentioned earlier about shades of green. The absolute BEST colors for your call to action buttons on a landing page are going to be Red and Green. I've tested this time and time again. On every campaign ive ran in the last 7 years...

  • This is a great place to have profit with CPA.
  • So update on my POF campaigns.

    I was working with EWA until they put the offer on private and I still haven't been accepted since then. (been over 2 weeks) So I have been testing out different but similar dating offers on other networks.

    The conversions were not the same at all. Even the same offer on a different network yielded totally different conversions!!

    Well, I thought I had a break through with this one dating offer - had some good clicks (avg .2%) and about 50% CTR to landing page and 10% conversion rate for like a couple of days. I was just about to test some stuff until all of a sudden the offer just stopped converting for me!

    Does anyone know the reason for this? Or is this like normal. My ads are pretty good, very targeted (I THINK) and my landing page yields a good CTR. If my conversion rate is terrible does this mean its the offer? Or should I revamp everything?

  • Update:

    My server apparently was hacked (blue layer host) and I had to setup a new website with a new server etc. This could not happen at a worst time as I was just getting things rolling.

    So I began the task of setting everything up again, landing page, prosper202 etc. Thought everything would go back to normal but I hit another roadblock as I could not find the CPA link that I was using for my offer.

    A different network had the same CPA offer landing page, however it just did not convert as well as it did with the other network. Super frustrating, but I guess that's how it goes.

    Will be testing different offers AGAIN and can hopefully find something that converts well soon without losing too much money.

    Ill keep you guys posted. Hope you having more luck than I am!

  • Would you say targeting women or men works better?

    I tried targeting Christian women with a Christian dating offer for a while, I had a lot of pics, 3 different landing pages, I laser targeted etc. but I still lost 4 times the amount of what I made.
  • Congratulations, now you just need to scale it up! Possibly even try those winning campaigns on other platforms.
    POF can be extremely profitable but I find it needs much more optimizing than other platforms like BingAds. I only recently dabbed into POF, I didn't earn anything spectacular but it was a little incentive.

    Either can work. I've seen a lot of people be successful with both.

    A lot of people "hate" on 7Search because of it's traffic quality. But you can block.

    I would recommend starting with either.

    You just need to get started.

  • hey congrats man. Yeah this is how the game is won in the CPA world. You have to realize that you need to drop some dough and find out where the winners will be. It takes time and perseverance, but once you discover a winner it's a blast. You just scale everything up and watch the money roll in.

  • There are plenty more places to do ppv etc. stop paying for impressions unless untill you know what you doing. Try pay for clicks if at other networks if POF not working and you have limited budget. Ask from proofs who said I made this much. Also ask them their cost. Things will be more clear then. Don't just jump in blindly..
