today i receive a notification about Facebook Offers , a new funcionality in Fan Pages



i just made some searchs on facebook documentation and i found this :

FOR PAGE ADMINS :

Bring people to your business with an offer they can claim and share with their friends.

Offers require a budget to run. The amount you pay is based on how many people you want to reach.

Designing a Successful Facebook Offer :


To help ensure your offer is claimed and shared, carefully consider its value, headline and the image you use. If people don't understand your offer or think it looks like spam, they might hide it from their news feeds, mark it as spam or unlike your Page.

      Ugh. Tread carefully with these. I was an admin for a page that posted one. It went viral. Crashed her site. I'm not sure of the whole chain of events (I actually am not sure I even posted anything on her page ever), but her page was taken down. I ended up with my personal profile disabled and everything...all my own pages disabled, all my hard work gone.

      I am pretty sure it wasn't a spammy offer (just sign up for a company's email club to get a free drink). I think it's just such a new feature and a ton of bloggers were trying it out. I bet it was marked as spam by people who didn't know what it was.

      I don't know if I'll get my profile back. Sigh.

        Does anyone have any experience with the Facebook offers? I've run a couple and it is exciting to see how many people "claim" the offer, but only 5% of them follow through.

        I expected the percent to be much higher since they have to click on the offer which starts them down the commitment process.

        My offer was a free + shipping product.

        I'm curious because reading the comments on other fan pages in my niche that run offers, I've seen comments of people saying they never clicked anything, but Facebook showed in their newsfeed that they claimed the offer. That makes me think Facebook automatically "claims" the offer on behalf of people in order to meet the "reach" that was paid for.

    You can't promote CPA offers using this feature on facebook , your page will be deleted and your profile banned . I'm not using it for CPA

    You must use this tool to promote your company , your website your product or service and you must read the guidlines , there are rules ... doing this you can get more traffic you can incentive poeple to visit your site , to buy your product or to hire your services .

    I just use it this week , to promote a magazine i own ( it was a 40% subscription discount ) it's a good investment .

        it's depend on you offer , Good Offer --> Good Results , in my first offer i reached 30000 user , 6000 claim the offer it was a magazine discount susbscription ,but only 2600 user convert to subscribers of the magazine :/ i could get more , but the first time is the first time you must learn from your experiences , no one can show you the way , ONLY YOU can find it ... just test and optimize --- test and optimize --- test and optimize ...

    To my understanding this has been available to page owners in the US and the UK for a while. Access was only recently granted to South Africa, so I suspect you are in a different country too?

    You get one free posting, its $10 thereafter and shown to your pages extended circles. Your page has to have a minimum of 400 likes to do it.

    Facebook gave me free credits to test out Facebook Offers so I decided to run one on my LukePeerFly.com fan page. It went pretty well:


    As you can see, 31 people claimed my offer, which cost me nothing and got quite a few new people running 7Search traffic Also, with the 113 Likes the offer went somewhat viral and I got quite a few new fans from it with more viral (free) views than paid.

    It's worth a shot, but you need to make sure your offer is related to your fan page niche if you want to get the most engagement and not waste your money/time.

      in your Fan Page . there is some countries where this features still in test , anyway it will be available in some weeks for all the WORLD

    FB go's Groupon "Gangham" Style, to save shares diving to less than $9 [as we said!]

    FB Offers *will* only work if you have a tight, niched, trending type of FP, as you can see by the youth of CPA, Lukeyboys page from Peerfly... copy|clone his "Gangham Style" and you will be in the BIGBANKING land from FBoffers

    Other than that... more $ spent to support FB's flagging system of use!

    This new feature sounds like a great opportunity. I agree with skyboo, this needs to be tested first as this is just a new feature. Some may have good results depending on how you utilize it.
