Hello, my name is Sterling.

Glad to be on the forum. Well, I got into PPC Classroom and I finished reading it and everything, but I have a question for the ppc vets since PPC Classroom's forum isn't open up yet.

I use a keyword tracking service and I have keyword generators and all that, but what I want to know, is how much should I put towards my PPC Budget? Is $300 a month enough? I have that much since I have 2 credit cards and good credit, but I don't want to max them out just trying to get experience in PPC...

So what I would like to know is what is an optimal amount of money to budget per month towards adspend that will allow me to test an offer and generate some profit.

Thanks a bunch for any help .

the amount to budget depends largely on ur keywords. if the keyword u choose is already being used by many people, for ur ads to be seen u need to pay high to bid for top position.free ur mind>.......................

    • It all depends on your keywords that you choose and what you get back for making a sale. If you have a product that is going to pay you $200 for every sale, then you can afford to pay more per key word if the products is selling. If your going to only get paid $30 a sale, I wouldn't even touch Google Adwords.

        Hi

PPC Budget? Well it all depends on what you can afford and your conversion rate. But be very careful if you plan to use Google Adwords---very expensive.

Start with small bids and choose keywords that do not have very high competition. If your keywords have a high search volume then it will have high bidding too.Avoid such keywords.

Build a large list of related keyword and gradually reduce the number.

        I hope that helps.

Before I ever spent a dime on PPC I made some money using free methods and still do incorportate many of those methods today. But also you can take into consideration the smaller Search Engines....test with them first then you can crank it up with the Big G later when you have a proven winner.
    Thanks

I never thought to try anything like that. I got your ebook and i'll put it to work tonight. I'll keep posting about my results.

And yeah, I'm moderately rich now lol, but I'm on my way to really rich

The keywords are high volume and kind of general in the entertainment industry. I do however see where others are running their ads for long periods of time at high levels and are affiliates. Since i'm going to use clickbank products I suspect that my conversion rates will be around 1%. The keywords cost range from 30cents -98 cents per click. And this is with about 50 keywords. The commission is at about 30 bux. So what do you guys think? Should I try my hand at making a small campaign and testing then if it converts optimize? And can I do this realistically with 300 bux a month or do I need to invest more? I want to say my max budget limit would be at $100 bux a week to start.

Thanks in advance for the help. I'm still going to use your methods to honestbizpro

But I still want to get this thing figured out as much as possible before I throw my money at it.

    Hey there,
Have you seen any of Adrienne's webinars? She has one called "How to pick an offer" that is really good.

I think its on that webinar, if not then the last one that Amit did where they say as a general rule to have $5 for every 50 keywords - note this is for search only. Something to keep in mind regardless of what your budget ends up being.

Speaking of webinars, definitely check them out, lots of good stuff on there.

I also just posted on here wondering when the forum would open. Hopefully soon!

    Good luck,
    Sandra

If you are looking to make serious money with CPA, a budget of $300 won't cut it. Assuming you want an income of $36,000 per year (which is quite below average, I'd say for CPA), you would need to EARN $3000 a month. That means that after your monthly advertising spend, you're looking at a net profit of $3000. To make that much, you'll need to be spending at the VERY least $1000 a month on ads, but most likely closer to $3000 or $4000. That's per month.

Realistically, you'd spend $4000 a month, bring in $7000, and pocket $3000. But you can see how a $300/month ad spend won't get you very far.

    Best of luck to you!
