Anyone use Blogger for a landing page to test offers?

I am trying to convert over to CPA marketing and wondering if CPA marketers test offers with free methods first? Would creating a blogger site, Squidoo Lens, or Wordpress site work for promoting CPA offers?

With Wordpress sites (free not self hosted) I guess you can use themes to clean up the landing page pretty well.

Anyway, is this a good testing strategy? It seems better than direct linking because you can create a review style LP this way.

Also, I will be using article marketing to drive traffic.
