I just want to earn $3k/month with PPC. Doable?

I know, some of you might ask "why $3k?".....well I'll tell you.

I have a great career that I DO NOT plan on giving up for full time I.M.

I know that is a very low goal but I earn a great living in my career that I plan of doing until I retire, I'm 39y/o now and I work in Finance in a senior level position and I plan to continue making upward moves. I could very well make it to CEO within a large company as long as I keep making the moves that I make.

The $3k will be used just for savings and also, IM is fun. It's more of a money making hobby for me.

I have hours in the evening in which I can use for new goal. I am going to join PPC-Coach.com to learn about PPC(not adwords).

To earn $3000 a month as my goal, I am willing to start with a $2000 budget and go from there. It might take 6 months but are my goals reasonable?

FYI:
Even though I've been a member for 2 years, I've spent most of that time building and flipping Amazon sites. I'm just burned out on that after building and selling 40 websites, I want to do something else.

Thank you

    Very reasonable!

It took me about 3 month or hard work when I was starting out with Adwords back in the day.

Just don't quit, keep putting in the work, keep reading, and stay focused on one idea.

That isnt a bad goal at all.
Continue to read on PPC techniques, quality score, etc. Don't be lazy when putting together campaigns either, split your ad groups up properly and test multiple copies. Youll get there!

I'm going to join PPC-Coach.com. I want to get a solid background. I don't want to just "jump in". I can't blow money like that.

    Absolutely feasible.

The best advice I can give you is to make sure you develop a plan, and keep learning.

If you want to master PPC, that's a good way to go. I love paid traffic.

If you're a complete technology newb, I should tell you that it's essential that you track your clicks. (Especially for paid traffic). Track your clicks. That way, even if you lose your shirt buying traffic; at least you have the data.

Data on what converts can be the difference between huge profits, and failure. The best data, is your own data.

    Sounds easy right?

It's not. But you're a professional, so you should have a better chance than the majority of other people.

Never stop learning, and always track for results.

When you stop achieving, head in a new direction, and fast. Don't go in a direction that's not making any money.

Am I saying to go slow? Hell no; run like the wind. Just make sure to run in the right direction. That's easier, when you have lots of your own data.

If you are willing to put long hours in, and lose money to learn then yes. But I'd suggest you spread out around several different promotion methods.

Which PPC platform do you plan on using? Has anyone here reached this figure with advertising on just second tier PPC engines like 7search, ezango, bidvertiser and the like?

I'm not going to say. It's going in the opposite direction of POF/FB crowd. There are markets out there that are completely ignored by advertisers. I have 3 different platforms that I want to use that get massive amounts of traffic and are all profitable but everyone is on POF/FB............I hope they all stay over there too.

Great! That's the way to go - capitalizing on untapped traffic sources.

POF traffic is insanely expensive now for the quality or lack thereof.

Good luck. I'm no expert, but I think list building (or building a social brand) could be one way to get the most of your paid traffic.. after all, you're paying for quality clicks.. why not build a long-term asset with it instead of a quick buck?

It depends on the niche and offer, though, I suppose.. For an AsSeenOnTV health product, my destination URL (with Bing Ads) is a pre-selling blog post and I'm seeing some good success with it.. Excellent ROI.

Anyway, you may have to test and see what works best for you. Learning from PPC-Coach is going to be useful but it's just baby steps, and best things you learn - you'll learn yourself by testing.

I wish you luck! $3k with PPC is certainly very doable. In your case especially, it is VERY doable.. why? Because you've already got a job you love! So don't hesitate to lose a bit of money at first with PPC (because you most likely will. But then..assess your results, see what works, and scale that and your cashflow will skyrocket.)

Proper kw research, smart bidding, and good conversions are the three magic phrases!

Keep us posted on how it goes.

I'm not looking for a quick buck and I never mentioned what my long term plans were. I don't need to reveal everything.

This is my first INITIAL goal. List building is in the long term plan but I first need to get a foundation laid.
