Can I promote Clickbank products on Adwords?

Hello,

I'm new here.

I'm wondering if I am allowed to promote Clickbank products on Adwords.

I know I was able to in 2008 but I haven't been in the game for quite a while now.

I hear there's a lot of issues with people getting banned from Adwords and I just want to know, can I still direct link to Clickbank products with Adwords?

Best regards,
fivetwentysix

    In short, no.

You'll have to be very clever if you want to do this. The only way is to send people to a site with plenty of content. Working in an optin form somewhere is the tricky part...or it's just a waste of money.

Be creative and you just might make it work after spending some money testing things out.

No, Adwords will ban your account fast.

I would suggest another PPC traffic source.

Or try CPA offers on PPV, POF, PPC, ect...

Does anyone know why they ban you? Is it in their TOS?

Are there some exceptions to the rule?

Are a majority of products not eligible but there are some products that are?

In short, you'll get banned. I have noticed weight loss products being a complete No no.

You can't direct link anymore. Your ad won't last 24 hours (if not merely hours).

You need a site with content.. same way you would do with SEO and have banners / capture emails.

Also, some subjects are more likely to get you banned than others.. like weight loss, get ex back, make money online. Other subjects like "how to wire your house".. or other small niche have less competition and a lot less likely to get you banned.

    Yes... and no.

It depends on how you will do it. If you want to simply direct link to the offer, then the answer is no. However, if you capture leads and promote the products on the back-end it may pass.

I just got banned today trying to sell a video game strategy guide. Wtf?

I called the Adwords team and asked them why, and they said they'd reply to me later today.

I don't understand what policy I violated, Adwords even has a section in their policy about Affiliated Marketing and none of the policies have I violated.

You can run clickbank stuff without getting banned. You just have to do it right. Google wants you to provide value to their customers. If you throw up a 1 pager even if it has quality content they will shut you off. Also, if you put up the exact same stuff that others are doing they will get you there too. (That means they don't want 8 ads promoting the exact same product on 1 page. Add some value and do something different)

I do my sites in a silo format now and build a business around the niche. I collect email addresses, review products, etc without any issues.

You just can't direct link (which doesn't really work that well anymore anyway) or throw up fast junk sites. That's the kind of stuff that less industrious affiliates try to do and then say they got banned so it doesn't work.

Adwords is very picky these days, Once ago I create a 1 page review website about a single product I was promoting the content was original and with high quality but they suspended my account and I got an detailed email about why it has been banned. They wanted me to compare the product with other similar products in the market giving more value to the users with charts and graphs explaining the pros and cons of each products in details and what a person should/ shouldn't buy those products.

If you add value to the user visiting your LP then will most likely to have your campaigns runnin.

Simply Adwords hates affiliate marketers. They will ban you and no matter what you do. So My suggestion would be try Bing ads instead if you are serious on PPC

    Thanks

  • There's nothing in Adwords policies that prevent you from promoting CB products specifically. You can even direct link to the product.

There are many that say "I got banned for promoting CB" but they don't even know why. They haven't read or understood the policies (thanks to Drew for providing links).

The problem is that, for the vast majority of CB product pages I've seen, it violates one or more Adwords rules. So not good candidates for direct linking for the most part.

You can direct link from facebook ads as long as they don't have a video that auto plays on their landing page and a they don't have exit pop ups (many Clickbank vendors will supply you with a page with no exit pop up if you ask them)

I think the biggest problem is that most people hear the rumors "Google hates affiliates" and they create "review" sites that are nothing more than brige pages and run ads and get banned.

Also, as LWM said, a lot of products and their sales pages violate other policies which is a different problem all together.
